Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Enjoy! Haven't done traditional drama like this in a while, feelsgoodman.

Ain't NOBODY wielding abstract imagery like CrackTheSky, for real.

Beautiful, inspiring work man, thru and thru.

The most resonant videos I've seen from you have shared such a sensibility with me that they inspire both great joy at finding something so relateable and envy that you seem to articulate it with such ease! (Not to say any of these videos look like their development took any shortage of effort, just that your control of video flow seems so natural!)

I just watched this on a lark while waiting for my new amv to render. Well done! Simple, clean, and beautifully crafted.
There is nothing like a moonless night to watch a few AMVs.

Thank you, that means a lot, I really appreciate your words. Glad you enjoyed it!

I have not seen this anime and know nothing about it, so I'm not sure if you edited any of the scenes or not. I enjoyed the mellow feel it gave out and thought the simple editing fit well with the atmosphere you were building. I didn't feel the story was very clear, however, to someone unfamiliar with the source. I found myself rather confused form start to finish.

I loved the gentle tone of this, how it gradually pulls you in and builds in intensity, but never to the overwhelming effect that it could have given the source material. This felt like a very restrained video, yet there's an emotional rawness to it, which sounds contradictory, I know. This definitely wasn't what I was expecting, not a traditional drama AMV or a video that's so abstract as to invite viewers to project any feelings they want onto it. I've actually been struggling to nail down my own feelings about it for a few days now and I don't know if I've gotten any closer than when I started.

I do get a sense of this being a "personal" AMV on some level, but maybe that's just the feelings I get from the song. But I do think you nailed down that feeling of loneliness and isolation, and that sense of growing up and falling away from people that's at the heart of the anime (a prevalent theme that's largely overshadowed by psychic terrorists, killer cats, giant moles, etc.).

Disarmingly poignant but still hopeful, not something I get out of too many AMVs and am still trying to unpack. This was pretty good!
