Beyond Your Love [Kannazuki no Miko AMV]

I rewatched Kannazuki no Miko and decided to edit with it. It's old but still just as gorgeous as when I first watched it. It's been years from my previous attempt to portray the story and beauty of this anime, but luckily I've improved slightly from the first try. Mainly the resolution, and the quality of the video itself... Last time I edited with Kannazuki, I rendered the video in 720p... *shudders*

So anyway! My roommate and I love Chikane and Himeko, and it's been one of the things we've shared since forever. She's been on holiday visiting her family and I miss her terribly so I made this for her to show how much I want her to come back.

In any case, I hope you guys like this and feedback is welcome, as always. I had two betas for this, but eventually I got to the point where I had no clue what else to change / fix / add, so I declared it finished. What do you think? c:

Nice! I liked the dreamy, airy feel you gave the footage, it really complemented the song nicely. The scene selection/storytelling aspects of the video were also very satisfying, you hit all the emotional notes and made a video with a very well-told and clear story. The only thing that somewhat bothered me was the overuse of crossfades...really would have liked to see some hard cuts, especially on the more prominent beats/musical changes etc.

Still, really nice video, this one's a keeper.

Thank you for your comment~! I remember you commenting about the crossfades in my other video too and I think I promised to cut back on those... xD Guess I forgot. But, I did start working on a video where I challenge myself not to use crossfades. Look forward to that!

Yeah, I was conflicted about adding the rape scene, but it is SO important to the story (I can't just have Chikane turn "evil" all of a sudden with no reason), that in the end it needed to be there.
