A bit master "thank you" is right here

To be honest, it's up to you all to debate if she
died because I really never covered where she is ill in the video, or at least not directly. So, unless you know about the anime and its conclusion, it's up for interpretation. Of course, I
was on the whole
spiritual brigade...
CrackTheSky wrote:Probably the best video I've seen all year. Usually with videos I like I have a ton to say but here I'm just speechless. You captured the spirit of this anime in its purest form and the editing is simply phenomenal. Astounding work.
While I
do love good drama videos of this anime, I also believe its beginning houses enough upbeat material, and its message is not about the depressing stuff people edit so I really hope I captured its lighter side (seriously, I love this anime too much not to try to capture its good qualities).

Thank you
Cenit wrote:Great feeling. Great Anime/Song combo. I enjoyed. First Upbeat AMV to this Anime i've seen. But it's technically the new K-On/Haruhi. Why is it everywhere?
Like I said above to
CrackTheSky; I love drama videos of this anime but I do wish people could do more upbeat videos with it.
Actually, it's not like
either of those anime; in fact, if I were to compare it in anime, it'd be closer to a lighter version of Clannad: After Story (main character dying) with undertones of Macross Frontier (girl loving music so much, guy in love with girl who will die), and a
side of Hibike! Euphorium (love of classical music with drama). The tone in which Your Lie In April is in does not measure up to the lightheartedness of Haruhi or K-On.

Fantastic job!
You
did encourage me; you know. I'm glad it lives up to all the effort I did pour into it (both emotional and editing wise). And yes; I want more upbeat videos of this anime too! I will likely do another one down the road.

I really wasn't into the forced drama of the show, so I'm glad you focused on the happy fun parts of it because I feel like it stands so well on it's own without the drama.
Excellent work!
I
do like the drama side, too; in fact, I like it a little more than most anime nowadays in terms of "
believable drama" (a.k.a. character with emotional trauma due to abusive and/or harsh parents afraid to re-communicate or move on because of the past). But, of course, I also loved its upbeat side, where all the characters were laughing and having fun. And who can beat this beautiful art?
M'o'l wrote:Pretty well done stuff. I feel like pacing could be a bit more varied as i get somewhat uninterested in it

I redid the video a total of 8 times in order to gain a fluid pacing where I really desired it so by the time I finished this, I about
died editing-wise on where I could improve areas. Yes; I see areas for improvement, but I would rather invest it in newer edits than correct this (and it's not because I dislike it or the song either, I find it really annoying that I did all this and I
still find errors) but I find this version to my satisfactory. It's upbeat, conveys my love of this anime, and still tells the story of two characters who fell in love through music; in my opinion, that is all I did strive for.
Ardamaeus wrote:You took all the great scenes from the anime that I kind of actually liked and made it into a great video. Shigatsu as a series wasn't really a keeper in my book, but your AMV definitely is ;D!
Maybe it's on an emotional level that I can connect with Your Lie In April due to its tones and of its conclusion being a significant portion of my life (a friend, ill, who died and could not be cured, and she had been so upbeat and lived happily despite her circumstances). But I really think this anime earned my #1 all-time favorite for its deliverance, even if pacing sometimes is off; but no series can be perfect. (Hey, I love SAO, but I don't love the ALO arc anymore than others do!)
