A Note to all the Story Snobs in this thread:
Not every good video needs a story for it to be good, for the same reasons that a painting doesn't need a cute little explanation behind it for it to be an incredible work of art.
For me this video wasn't just it's editing, it wasn't Twilight, it was characters: purely characters who were isolated and separate from the world they were a part of. There was something about them and the way they saw the world around them that made them "different". It made them stand out of their surroundings. EDITORS OF ALL PEOPLE CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT THIS MIGHT POSSIBLY BE SAYING? Good lord this is a sad day for the Org.
Anyway Nunchuck I'm sure it's been said over and over, but this is an excellent piece of work you've produced here; the editing is spot on to the point where it's hard to recognize in the video and it all feels incredibly natural. The color scheme idea was great, but why give something like that away? That's a subtle detail that is YOURS and if your viewers don't get it, don't dumb it down for them. It's not your fault they forget how to watch a video critically. Never feel the need to explain yourself as an artist. F*** 'em.
I think the main problem with this videos reception thus far is that because you so clearly pointed out all the effects work in your poster and even in your explanation of the video, that's all people take this for, not to be separate from something like Naruto's Technique Beat. For me I love the technical work in this, but to me the idea of setting anime characters loose in the world through your editing is a FAR more interesting concept and maybe that's where some of the draws to Twilight come from, even though there have been many AMV's that attempted to illustrate this same idea before Koop's video. People don't know how to look at the imagery an editor chooses to show any more, they just look at what effects are being used. This is a video that can't be watched or appreciated like that. The imagery and the idea MAKE this video what it is.
Anyway sorry for the long post, I'm sure some witty poster is probably thinking "tl;dr" right now, maybe their hand is even hovering over the submit button for it. My only complaint, and it's really more of a minor nitpick, is that you posted your name RIGHT after the video ended in big letters. Very unnecessary especially since your credits looked so elegant after that. I want time to think about what I've just seen, and now all I can think about is "NUNCHUCK". I don't need to see your name plastered all over your work; Da Vinci didn't write his name in big letters right over "The Last Supper", nor did Jackson Pollock try to splatter out his name on top of the center of his compositions. One more art reference? Sure: Andy Warhol didn't write his name on Marilyn Monroe's forehead.
Still, despite that complaint, I'd still give this a perfect 5/5

Great execution of a wonderful idea that can have any number of meanings to the individual viewer.
