Re: Only Bob - AWA Masters Entry
Actually apon watching it again a few times, I had a thought that if you had used the same honeycomb like effect on the screen footage that you used in the very beginning, that alone would've helped to integrate them more into the 3d world. The idea about having them flicker on and off is also a good one. (if you plan to improve on this any in the future) Hit me up on aim if ya wanna discuss it further.

Your effort knob goes up to 11 I see.
I totally loved this video. The use of custom 3d work was stunning not to mention the inclusion of the background video. I seriously can't say enough how much I loves this video.

Re: Only Bob - AWA Masters Entry
I agree with what you're saying. I actually sort of thought I'd have things a bit like the multiple screens in metro's True Fiction and maybe have the odd screen look broken or losing signal. My other idea was actually have them even more "floating-like" along the same style as the screens in Macross Frontier (to make things look more futuristic) but for the life of me I just simply forgot to try out this idea. Anyway, it's all a learning process. I think maybe a collaboration of just original 3D animation videos could work to have us all learn even moreBakadeshi wrote:Actually apon watching it again a few times, I had a thought that if you had used the same honeycomb like effect on the screen footage that you used in the very beginning, that alone would've helped to integrate them more into the 3d world. I loved it. I have no real knowledge on 3d effects, so in that place everything looked absolutly wonderful to me. Good Job, definitely a year favorite.

Yeay, thanks. So long as you liked it, it doesn't matter what you knew about the technique behind itAri-chan wrote:I loved it. I have no real knowledge on 3d effects, so in that place everything looked absolutly wonderful to me. Good Job, definitely a year favorite.
