Only Bob - AWA Masters Entry

Now this is an AMV.

I could nitpick here and there, but everyone is "human"

nice work :O I liked the idea and most of the execution, I think the only problem i had with it was the 3d seemed too simple, I think some nice texturing wouldve been alot better, (like some kindof metal texture on the robot and rock/concrete texturing on the buildings, etc. and maybe a little more detail on the screens, instead of the simple rectangle (some kind of frame around them maybe? ) in any case, small issues, otherwise an excellent original 3d attempt. I'd like to see what you have in the works next. (kinda inspiring me to work more on my own 3d stuff too :p)

Edit: also I think having each frame show a different scene than them all showing the same stuff repeated, would add some veriety to it and feel less (lazy I guess?) but .... I know how much cpu and memory (and not to mention time to edit every screen seperately) that would take in blender, and may not even be possible without a render farm, or a reeealy powerful PC just thought I would mention it though ;p

Unfortunately, I'm not particularly a fan of the song, so I probably would have liked it more if I was. As it is though, I did like it quite a bit and found the concept very good and well presented. It's a lot better than Only Human was.

And all those screens must have taken 30+ layers. Very nice job with those, especially since I don't generally like that effect.

I had some hard times getting on this one, to be honest. I thought the 3D was nicely done and good execution on the concept part, but having anime integrate with the 3D world didn't really work out for me.

Yeah, I know what you mean about things looking simple (hence what I wrote in the video info section, but I won't repeat myself ). I had thought about a render farm actually (because I wanted to do this in HD originally), going as far as returning to my old university and trying to make use of some old contacts there to maybe "borrow" one of their computer labs but in the end I just opted for something simpler to get it done in time for AWA.

That guy has a weird voice, he's either on or off. When On, not bad, when off, honestly, its ear grating.
