The music, the voiceovers, the script you made for the voiceover... It was... Just wonderful! The text was perfectly spaced and easy to read. The emotions were easy to empathize with, the scenes were hilariously perfect at time. The quality was great, both video-wise and audio-wise. The text used in terms of the character's names and "this summer" was just adorable and fit perfectly. I don't give number scores because I don't agree with them, but this would be a 5/5 in my book any day. This is also what I wish trailer AMV's were more of. :D

This is probably one of my top 5 favorite trailers as a matter of fact.
Wow I'm flattered, thank you! :D Glad you enjoyed it ^^

... That was actually quite awsm! Anyone who hasn't decided to watch this series yet needs to watch this trailer. It captures very well what this series is basically about without spoiling anything. Great job from another ToraDora fan       \

If i had to complain about anything in particular, it would be that the font chosen for the words inbetween the story sections ("This summer" etc....) were not very professional trailerish, looked more amaturish in style. Otherwise I can't find a thing I would've done differently myself.

Edit: Have to agree with code on the fact we need more trailers like this one, and that this may be my fav trailer in a while. I think I will be watching for more trailer releases from you ;p
I actually had major problems choosing the font, couldn't decide between a few of them so I just picked a random one :(

Thanks! :D I didn't think it would receive such a good response because it's only my second time at a trailer and my first time using voiceovers
OropherZero wrote:this is now my fave trailer vid in my entire collection   I just really wish the subtitles were toggable T_T someone should write a guide on making mkvs with streams ~_~ Kinda agree with the font choice though, but typography isn't really discussed much here so its more of a trial and error process =P
Thank you! I'll try toggable subs for next time :)

Thanks! ^^

I really enjoyed it :) I'm pretty convinced now to finish this show :P

Another thing that bothered me was the colorful outlines of the subtitles, you should stick with one color.

Good job once again
Oh,I had it all one colour at first but one of my testers said it gets confusing them their voices start alternating near the end and suggested I used two colours

Thank you anyway, nice to know you enjoyed it! :D

Though, this is not something you should watch before you watch the actual show XD
I also agree with niwa and deshi about the texts and subs.
But all in all - it was awesome
Thank you :) Yeah, I only noticed it had major spoilers when I was entering it into the orgs catalogue  It's cause I've seen the show so I wasn't fully aware when I was previewing it :(

Aimo, If I were you, I'd send this to every contest *cough awa cough* I get the chance to just to spread the toradora love ;p (did i mention awa...)
Uh oh,guess this video's turning into a drug for some! :awesome: Not that I mind..

Aggressor wrote:I thinks threre're too many spoilers for a trailer. The purpose of a trailer to get audience interested, not to retell the whole story in 2 minutes. I mean, gradual change in their feelings is the main plot of the show.
Cutting was too simple, and the "Pictures of you" typo was docked to the left side and looked poor. I liked Toradora much, and maybe that's why I think it needs more effort. 3/5.
 I'll remember about the spoilers next time, thanks for watching!
Megamom wrote:Oh well... 5/5
:D Thanks!
Qyot27 wrote:I can't believe I hadn't seen that Direct link earlier...d'oh.

Anyway, it was a nice presentation of the series. My only two sticking points were that the audio mix seemed a tad uneven in places, and I think the glow should have been more subtle (or something more like the effect produced by Fade Gaussian Blur... to put it in Photoshop terms).
Thanks :D Hmm..when you talk about the glow are you referring to the part with the reddish tint around the middle?

That is not a direct link. It goes to megaupload, which clearly makes that an indirect link.

No, I mean the Diffuse Glow that's used on the footage itself at various points. Don't have screenshots with me right now to illustrate the effect, but it's common enough you can find examples of it easily online. To be specific, it's a diffuse glow without grain and using white as a base.

If the purpose of making this trailer was to promote the show , than you failed.
I am no longer interested in watching this show. :nono:

The hazy/cloudy white effect used on some of the scenes. The sequence from about 1:36-1:40 is one of the times it shows up.

Trailers are a difficult subject though. Convey a theme but dont give away the overall concept. By the way though, lower the ambience music more durring times they are talking or there is FX plz next time :|.

All so... WHY ARE THERE NO OTHER CHARACTER INTRODUCTIONS?! Even if you only do it briefly, like a quick screenshot of em posed and their name listed or something, they are supporting roles yes but a few of them had ALOT of show time and deserve attention for a trailer. I'm guessing if you spent a little more time on them as well you wouldn't of given away the whole storyline in the trailer.

Overall trailers like these just work better if there is a narrator voice that introduces characters and says certain things IMO. This way you don't rely so much on audio from the show and spoil things.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I completely agree that there are too many spoilers in this to really constitute as a 'trailer' it would be like a movie preview that showed you the ending.. there really wouldn't be a point to go and see the movie after that.. But you listed spoilers on the vid so theres really no problem there. I really liked this, I thought you did great. I've never quite seen anything quite like this, it doesn't work so much as a trailer or preview but as a series summery it's great. Good scene choices, I thought the background audio worked really well and you timed things nicely.

This silly Tiger X Dragon thing explains why I wasn't able to find any Toradora videos in the super search.. I really think it needs to be changed, or at least made into Toradora! (Tiger X Dragon) Everyone who knows this show, including ANN refers to it as Toradora, leaving it as is would just be confusing.
