I've written a reply to everybody at work last week and then it magically disappeared when I accidentally pressed "back" on my browser. See, that is why I use Opera and not Firefox!
Ah well, attempt #2 here:

Thanks for liking it! And finding it mild! Yeah, I like the more shoujo-style of drawing which is applied here. Plus, the animation is done by Production IG, so that's lways good!
But yeah, thanks for watching!
Hehe, next time I'll make a DougomX-shirt for ya! :O Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching! But...eh... crossfades was only temporarily in my dictionary, so you won't see any of them in my video anymore... ever! (okay not really, but just enjoy of this while it lasted)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marble_(band)
is it cheesecake with a strawberry on top?
and how do I win another one?
Thanks for beta-ing and watching!

But I disagree with overlay abuse: every crossfade, fade and superimposition is done with a reason. I don't think an abuse of a certain technique exists as long as it is done well, you can do it the whole video long. At least the crossfades were lengthy enough to actually make it possible to see what is going on and enjoy the compositions.
The problem of this video is that I went from trying to use as many crossfades and superimpositions and tried to find reasons to use that - it never feels structured, like my other videos do. The correct way for me is to go from the video/story/concept and try to find ways to make it work, to make it suspenseful, etc. - with whatever the technique that may be, even if it has to be done the whole video through.
Thanks for watching anyway and don't worry, this release and my previous one were my worst video ever, so the next 5 videos that I will be releasing will be like my usual videos - more conceptual!
Thanks for watching!

No comments about my poster?
But I don't think I agree with you, The Sweetest Sky isn't really a video I enjoy either watching or making and I think the feeling I had about this video while creating it kinda shows in the video - if you get I mean.
But yeah, this video is more of an experiment, like I said earlier, but background entertainment might be a good word for it - it is not like my normal videos where you really have to pay attention. (and it's not as intense as they are)
Don't talk about the $70... it's WITHOUT SUBS! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Technique Beat was a one-time thing - comedy is a bit too hard for me to do... or do you only like it because of the synch-parts?
Huh?
What?
And ehhmmm, I'm starting to release my vids now and before the end of the year is over, I hope I have released another 4 videos, so yeah...
But balance?
Just start working on your video!

Ah well, attempt #2 here:
Thanks! Like I've told you, the poster is the best thing about the AMV. And eh... what crossfades?blabbler wrote:nice poster
now about those crossfades...

Ayayay, you see me! o.OMegamom wrote:The AMV is very mild ... I am happy ... music editing environment ... works in a sober way over the consepto ... very nice, very nice wing view!
Good job! 5/5
PS: I see you again!
I liked the style of drawing anime! ^ ^

Damn! I thought I'd hidden the crossfades well enought and now you've found them!jade_eyed_angel wrote:daww douggie its adorable

Yeah, ANOTHER ONE! Sorry for releasing SO MANY VIDEOS this year!Brad wrote:Oh great. ANOTHER Douggie video.

Thanks for watching! This is the short version of the song, so there's a long(er) version somewhere floating. The artist is called "marble", a duo (obviously) from Japan). You can find more info about them here:Meteor Dragon wrote:Cute vid and nice edit...I said cute....hmm oh well....now...I must find that song...and learn more about the artist!! I love it XD

You win a cheesecake
is it cheesecake with a strawberry on top?
and how do I win another one?

Thanks for beta-ing and watching!
I know it's not my best video at all, but as most people know, this video has been more of an experiment for me, trying to use crossfades and superimpositions in a way that it would be satisfying for me. I never make videos like this, so it seems like I failed in making a "normal" video.CrackTheSky wrote:Eh, not your best work, by far. It doesn't have that unique touch that all your other videos have. Also, you totally abused overlays in this video, and I can't stand it when videos do that. Sorry man, 2/5 from me.

What's a Douggie-style AMV?Ingow wrote:I kinda agree with this, but I'm not on the side of you always having to make Douggie-style AMVs. It's just that this video isn't much more than background entertainment compared to your other work that would instantly pull me in.
Also don't spend 70$ on stuff like that, totally not worth it either way.

But yeah, this video is more of an experiment, like I said earlier, but background entertainment might be a good word for it - it is not like my normal videos where you really have to pay attention. (and it's not as intense as they are)

Hehe, maybe because it's secretly not a "proper" romantic video. Thanks for watching!JCD wrote:I liked it. And I generally don't like romance videos. Good job
The Old Douggie? I thought we just knew each other this year? Or are you somebody I know? o.Oguy07 wrote:I didn't like it ... i miss old douggie. AMV technique beat ftw.

Thanks for watching! Is this video now eligable for your MEP or what? :OKoopiskeva wrote:good job sir
Hmmm, didn't think you would like this! And yeah, I took the short version of the song, so I actually didn't cut it off myself. You know I made this with Chibicon in my mind, plus, I didn't want to spend too much time in it using crossfades I don't like.Niotex wrote:Old video is Oooold.. See where I take ages to finish a video you take ages to release a video. We're completely out of sync man we need to balance each other out dammit. Thats how this whole Dutch thing that we got going works remember? >=|
I enjoyed it when I first saw it and I still do. Some of the edits seem a little rough and cutting out the audio completely at the end feels a little cold if that makes sense.
7.6/10

I found this refreshing... and the reason why?
...now this is going to sound very petty, but I'm just going to say it:
This is a good romance video that doesn't use a Shinkai anime.
Honestly, who thought that would work
