actually I decided not to make another entry in the cataloge as the existing one for "Beowulf" is also off the soundtrack. You'd prefer I made another song & band entry with different information for the same cd?
The absolute correct title would be-
song: A Hero Comes home (End credit version)(as used in the film Beowulf)
artist: Beowulf(Warner Brothers Soundtrack)
Everything in brackets is actually part of the title :\ as you can see it's kind of ridiculous.

In my music collection, when I come across an entry like this where no specific artist is cited, I usually dig a little deeper and find out who the lead vocalist was and use his/her name, in this case Idina Menzel, but that's just me.

Anyway, good job on both of these, Auty. Since I beta'd for both of these, it's cool to see how you've improved them since I saw them last. I think the HL is my favorite, but I think you did a good job on the other one as well. Also, the picture quality is excellent on both!

Utawarerumono vid: For some reason I like the 1st half a lot better. It seemed like the editing got a little weaker in the 2nd one (maybe it's because you had to rush it for the con deadline, i dunno). Still, this shall be re-watched since Utawarerumono is one of my fav anime and there really needs to be more videos made to it...

Highlander vid: This song has some sort of mysterious, hypnotic feeling, it makes me watch this vid over and over again, despite the anime, which I really don't like. Heh, what else to say, except, nice quickie =O

Utaw AMV = 6/5 because seriously, if I can watch it 25 times when you had that weird mask of Errurru in the beta then obviously the final product is awesome. Again I am amazed at how well the song fits the anime since Utaw is one of those jrock/jpop/MAD kind of anime. In any case I fear that this song will be stuck in my head during exams....

Actually I was dissapointed. The video lacked a lot of flow, you threw scenes together which don't fit at all to each other. Some parts were really done well with well integrated effects and well animated scenes from the series but then changed to almost-still scenes. If you bring in a degree of motion, you have to keep it, and not change back suddenly :/
Also, this was propably the worst version of the song I heard until now, but that's beside the point

Will check out the Highlander video sometime later...

Ok without sounding anal and ungrateful I’d like to make a few points: After I ripped up my entire timeline the first time I lost all passion for this video and it’s completely changed in outlay from what I’d intended to make. My main problems that were picked up by Kewp and Godix were that the storyline made no sense to people who hadn’t seen the series and that I was all over the place between action and drama, so on the 3 time re-editing the timeline I deliberately took out shit loads lot sync forcing it to be a Drama video over action. There are many scene that people who have seen the series or played the hentai game will realise is not the same girl (erurururururururururu or w/e) and that they are sisters not mother and child, but if you take the clips on face value without prior knowledge of the series it actually makes a lot of sense and isn't random. As for the satic stuff... almost every scene like that I've added camera movement to to in some small way try and compensate and keep some semblance of flow, but at the end of the day this anime is bloody full of those kinds of scenes ;_; so thats as good as I could get. I agree with you actually thats why I went to such lengths to compensate
About the masking... there actually is masking the whole way through it's just better hidden and less blatant than in the begining.
Now considering they way you usually edit, I think you will like the highlander vid a hell of alot more (sex, sword fights and defying the laws of physics) ;]

actually I made the Highlander vid before my IC i just set the "date available" on the org to the future and reset it once judging was done. I always intend to make a Highlander vid and it was burning a hole in my HDD ...
