This is absolutely adorable.
I find it great that you made so much humor with barely any voiceovers (save for the aliens, which only added to the hilarity). The cameos of the MT characters, as well as the unpredictability in some scenes (including the credits, hehe) really makes this fun to watch. The fact that it's drawn by the person who made it also adds to the appeal of this video; it shows how much work was put into it and for that I give you a high level of congratulations, and even a thank you for making it.
Like Oto said, I could see some improvements being added in. At times, a certain scene and a joke or two would drag and I'd be leaning my head left to right, bored, waiting for it to move on. In terms of art, some character movements designs were too plain.
Otherwise... yeah. Adorable as hell.

Yeah, I'm aware of most of things you've mentioned. I know my drawing skills are pretty lame (as well as my English) ^_^;; That's why I want to spend some time improving my abilities.Otohiko wrote:Otherwise, I can definitely see where improvement can be made - I think the most important thing is getting the character art to a higher level. Proportions/animations aside, I think the all-vector art on them looked rather flat (well, literally, sort of like paper cutouts) and 'digital'. I think getting a bit more detail in there, and perhaps giving the characters a more 'organic' or 'penciled' look, would definitely go a long way.
And the vector flatness is kinda obvious, too. Therefore I'm thinking about using completely hand-drawn cels for my next project and get rid of vectors in most of the scenes. On the other hand, I'm planning to include some 3D CGI features.
Well, I wanted to keep it a secret but I've already spread the info among czech otakus, so I'll mention it here as well.Kalium wrote: I have only one thing to say:
When's your next release?

Right now, I have two projects in mind.
One of them would be a short series of 2-3mins long episodes about the life of otaku community. Fortunately, I've got a friend to help me with the storyline.
The other one should be another short movie (about 20 mins). The genre would be SF and its story should be more serious than my first attempt. (Yeah, I've been inspired by Hoshi no koe
