Thanx! I was hoping it would be better than the contest one. (At least that's what I was aiming for since I had more time to fix this up than to do the original vid. lol.)

I enjoyed this quite a bit. All I could think of while I was watching it was "Silent movie!", and as this is one of the only videos I've seen that takes such an approach (Nightowl's Firewall is the only other one I can think of, and that one has a much different feel), I was instantly hooked by the originality factor. The filter looks really good - probably one of the best "old film" filters I've ever seen. Most just look bad or cheesy, but in this video it was simply fantastic.

The only complaint I have is that at times the video bored me slightly (partly due to the music - I'm not a big classical fan), but overall I think you acheived exactly what you were going for and this video definitely stands out. The end, the lighter sequence, was my favorite part by the way - I loved that.

I give it 4/5, keep it up

lol. I was actually thinking "Silent Movie!" while I was editing the original. But due to the time restraints, I couldn't do it for the IC. :( But I went ahead and did it for this. *^_^* The "old film" effect was actually partially premiere effects (for the washed out color and "noise" effect.) and partially photoshop layers. (Since I couldn't find a filter in Premiere to give it the precise graininess that I wanted, I did it with a combination of a couple different photoshop layers. Then obviously the border. :P)

Yeah, I figured this would probably bore some people. lol. Which was actually part of the reason I sped the song up. So that it might have less chance of dragging and people falling asleep in the middle of it. I mean, if I had used some really beautiful, fancy, visually stimulating anime, I might have been able to get away with keeping the original song speed and still having it be interesting. But its Hello Kitty. Therefore, it needs a bit of help to at least attempt to keep people interested and awake for 2 consecutive seconds. :P

Ah yes, the match sequence. I knew I wanted to use the clip of her in the snow for the very last clip. (What better way to end a depressing vid than to have the main character die at the end.) But then I was listening to the end of the song, and thought the whole match sequence would be great there. And by luck, the amount of times that beat repeated matched the number of matches she lit. SCORE!! *^_^*

Anyway, thanx for the critique and I'm glad you liked it. *^_^*

*SQUEE!!!* Yeah, like I said, I sped the music up to attempt to not put people to sleep. And I'm glad you liked the filtering.

I was actually shocked the first time I watched Hello Kitty Animation Theater. They stayed pseudo close to the original fairy tales and people actually died. Definately more morose and "action-packed" than Hello Kitty and Friends or Hello Kitty Paradise. (not that that's saying much.) Which was why I wanted to use it for this. To show people the darker side of Hello Kitty. . .or something. :uhoh: (At least as dark as Hello Kitty can get. lol.)

Anyway. Thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed it. *^_^*
