Not a bad effort. The idea was somewhat sound.
But seriously, speaking as a big Flesh Field fan, you kinda butchered the song. The mixing sounded very off beat and inconstant. I think if the track was left alone then the video would have more time to develop an atmosphere. I've seen this done in a couple Flesh Field vids popping up recently and it just makes me wince when I hear the songs so chopped up.
As for the editing, the FX were a nice touch. But as Warheart said, you still have a little ways to go before getting a firm grasp of solid beat sync. I think the video could have had a smoother flow without staying so static to only hitting the 3 or 4 same beats over and over. But still a good effort and idea. Keep at it!

Thank youdarthgamer wrote:Definitely a keeper. 4/5
I knew the music cut was not the best, many said it, but that was the first time that i cut a song with the programm, and on so many places. Will do my best the next time.kisanzi wrote:Not a bad effort. The idea was somewhat sound.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. There also didn't seem to be much of a concept, which kinda bothered me. Sync was interesting and fun most of the time, and the editing was pretty solid.Reigna wrote:It was kind of hit or miss as far as the effects go, and it seemed a little choppy at times, especially near the beginning. Effort is definitely apparent, so nice work.
3/5, not really my cup of tea, but still a keeper.

To be honest:
Do you really need a story here? I wouldn´t put there won either. The viewer wouldn´t be able to put track here with all the fast scene changes. They only thing that Martin could have tried with this amv would be a retell of the original story.
Maybe it´s today more original to not put an own story into a video and to just make it entertaining. However... if there is no place, there is no place for it.

In this particular video I liked the way that there was more or less not a "story." Sorta like one of those chaos in order type of things.
I love to wear absurd and totally impractical garments. What's more, I derive great pleasure from spending time with women for no apparent reason.

Ok, ok..."story" is a bit limiting. I see no evident concept; there doesn't seem to be any purpose that the scenes are arranged in the order they are. The effects and sync are what drives this video, and while that makes for a fun video to watch once, it's really hard to come back to it all that much because it's hard to connect with the video on any level.

I suppose that I agree on that point. The repeatability of the amv does suffer a bit, unless you are watching it just for the effects and such.
However, for me I find some vids like this more rewatchable than many vids with definite linear story because in the latter it is very easy to remember what goes on in the amv (making it a little boring) as opposed to one with short and choppy scenes semi-ordered. Anyways thats just my unique preference which is in no way universal to all amv's i watch.
