Dude...what the hell did you DO? This was a pretty bad video when I first beta'd it...holy crap, you fixed up almost every single complaint I had. The storytelling aspect is definitely there now...maybe it's because you explained the concept to me, but I can definitely see where this was supposed to be going and it works. Also, the sync and flow is MUCH better, especially in the beginning.
My one major complaint is near the end when you started synching to the cymbal crashes, the flashes were too sudden...I think they should have lingered a little. I also think maybe you should have done something different, like doing overlays that would fade out, or something.
That aside (as well as the quality issues that ultima mentioned, especially that ghosting), this was a great ride. I'm mostly impressed, however, with the amount of improvement evident between that first craptacular version you sent me and this. Seriously...
4/5

LOL, yes, that's almost my reaction except I was kinda optimistic that he would fix some of this. But I agree, you've done LOTS to improve on this one and it showed. Guess it's one of those cases where hard work pays off.CrackTheSky wrote:Dude...what the hell did you DO? Yea, it actually works very well now. Very coherent, good scene choices, good editing - really, you know the only loss here is that it comes on the heels of, well, a lot of AMVs to a similar tone. But it certainly keeps up the pattern of good videos to this anime.
Only possible complaint is that I didn't totally like the "rewind" effect that you used (just the overlay thingy itself wasn't too too elegant) - but the way it was used was very good. And I liked the good mix of sync overall - an effect here and there, nice even cuts, a fair amount of internal sync and some not-too-annoying lyric sync thrown in. Nice editing job.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Downloading at the moment!
EDIT: Woohoo! That was awesome. This has to be the best video I've ever seen using this anime
The sync was mostly right on time, and I can't think of a better way to capture this song. Well, at least using this anime. You really had a story to tell. An emotional one to be certain.
Now, I have to find a spot from my 100 favourite AMVs list where to put this -->

I'm really glad I downloaded this AMV.
It's only the second "The girl who lept through time" AMV I've seen, so to me it's still original, and I enjoyed this more than the other.
The editing was nice, nothing too flashy, but it was the pace you kept throughout the AMV that really impressed me. A well-worthwhile watch, and a 5/5 from me ^_^
Good job, I look forward to your next AMV.

Okkaaaay...reply time

and thanks
Nah, I wasn't trying to make it a super-special AMV like most of the previous vids using the anime have. Just editing and the works. But glad you liked it.
. Although this definitely isn't the only good one, I'm glad you liked it enough to put it up on your favorite AMVs list.

thanks...really appreciate it..
Thanks JenAh, okay... see, I downloaded the first version, and I was wondering why everything seemed a little off. That looks a lot better now.
Editing-wise, this was pretty good. Good timing, decent storytelling... you did well with that. For parts of the video, I felt like you fell into a rut of staying in the same section of the anime, but it worked okay with the song.
Good job on this video. I enjoyed it.

No, you don't wish you didn't release it later. ur high .kikai_saigono wrote:wow, a lot of the toki wo kakeru vids were released so close together XD wish I had known so I could have released mine later XD

EDITZ: Bahs I'm late, but anyways, this was really hawt eclipseI enjoyed it lots :3
and thanks
Classic? Interesting phrase to use.Kael_ wrote:I think you would have use scenes less used on amvs on this anime, in my opinion it is not enough special and too classic.
Except that, the editing is simple and rather pleasant and I like the music.
