All public access channel's are different in each city, take for instance Austin and Corpus Christi, Austin you have to pay for each episode you want to submit, which I heard is about $20, In Corpus Christi you have to sign up for a membership and pay $10 every three months. However, the main reason that you have to pay is due to the fact that these channels are privately owned, but here in San Antonio, the channels are owned by Time Warner Cable them self’s, there for, its free; there are commercials between shows, but not like the ones you think, there mostly community announcements like, public shows, community events, etc...rubyeye wrote:Public access Television still requires some kind of underwriting to fund programs which it airs. Honestly, I would love to have more of a variety, but I don’t have much help over here, and I can’t pay since I’m doing this in my spare time, I would love to have fans help out in selecting and putting the show together. For the Award Show, I’m asking all there fans to help out over here, I have a about 5 at the time but I need much more. I also have local bands that I’m talking with, so they can play on the show. Try looking at the Top Rated Videos and so on on the member main page. Although not definitive, it's definitely a start on some vids to look out for.
