TLO Presents: You're So Far Away (Mae/Hoshi no Koe) [+iPod]

Post by dokool » Wed Jan 04, 2006 7:39 pm

It's been a little less than a year since I edited my last full video - hopefully 2006 will be a bit more fruitful for me in terms of output, starting with this video.

You're So Far Away was (quickly) edited as a 20th birthday gift for my girlfriend - the video is Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star), which means that I had to make a 4-minute video with 25 minutes of source. The audio is "We're So Far Away" by Mae off the album "The Everglow" - this is the first complete Mae video on the 'Org and is the second listing to use Mae (the first being SnhKnive's Lost Causes).

As always, you can read a lot of useless rambling about the process, the story behind the video, and etc on the profile. The video is available in standard XviD as well as an MP4 encoded for the 5G Video iPod.

Enjoy!

Nice one, Dan. The song was a little slow for my taste, but you pulled it together well. :)

This was a pretty solid video, well done.

Mae is just an amazing band and it's nice to see that they're making their way onto the org. I had actually planned on using this song in a future project of mine. If you like Mae a lot, then I would suggest checking out a band called Anberlin. They're on the same record label as Mae (Tooth and Nail Records) and are definitely pretty awesome.

Once again, nice job on the amv :)
