Not The End For Her (KareKano video by Undertow)

Post by Undertow » Wed Mar 30, 2005 3:27 am

Alright, my latest video, and also a video with which i will be participating at the Dutch Animecon (not listed among the contests, but hey, atleast it's there).

So, this is a KareKano video, using a nice little song by Millencolin called Penguins and Polarbears.
The song is basically about two people who are each other's anti-poles, but are feeding of each other's misfortune and shifting positions in the pecking order all the time.

I found the song very fitting, and i hope everyone likes how it turned out.
I'm very glad with how it turned out, and i hope everyone will thing the same.

Well, here is the link, and enjoy

Nice video. I think it way lack a bit of rhythm and action to really fit fit the fast pace of the song, and I felt that by trying to focus too much on characters, and their faces, the clips didn't go that well with the song as it could have, but you reduced it a bit with fast cuts on the end. Anyway, fun to watch.

Hm, I love this song, Millencolin just rocks.
The video was fine, I liked alot of the lyricsynch, it gave me the same mood the song does. However the synch could be better by a good bit, there were many dominant beats left out or mis-timed. Maybe a bit rushed to make it till the Anime 2005 deadline? ;)

I sent my entry out this weekend, let's see what competition awaits us ;)
(maybe I'll let mine premiere at the con, I have to consider the options :P )

thanks guys, i will watch out for those things next time

And yeah, it was indeed a bit rushed, my PC crashed some time ago, and got it back about 3 weeks ago i think, but they didn't repair it right, so it kept on crashing every half hour.
As you can see, that really limited the time i could invest in the AMV before the deadline, and offcourse college is still keeping me very busy.

So, yeah, it was a bit of a fast one, but i still like it, and i don't really think i would have done it much different if my PC worked propperly.
