I just recently started uploading AMVs online. Been working on them for quite a while actually and decided to go online. Be warned, I'm no marvel hehe but I think they aren't really an eye-sore after all.
Well my latest creation was a Naruto AMV with Remy Zero's Save me. I'm entering an on-comming contest with it. It's my very first contest actually, along with the Neko no Baka one. Hope i'll do well, but then again, no heart feelings if i don't

How It Started
************
Do I consider myself a Naruto fan? Frankly I don't know. Well let me explain myself. The first time I saw Naruto was right about the time he was fighting Zabuza for the first time. It impressed me, that I must say, but something didn't convince me. I had to see more, so I got online and put my hands on fansubs.
I got episodes 11 - 19 ... and literally forgot about them. I mean, I couldn't even remember setting my P2P to get those episodes, so one day I was cleaning my computer and found those precious 9 episodes.
I watched them and cried ...
Indeed, I cried. It was beautiful. The deep insight of giving a reason why Haku was such a doll in Zabuza's hands. I just have a soft spot for tragic characters, and Haku and Zabuza got to me really fast.
Inspiration fell on my like a tonne of brick. I had to make a music video out of those episodes. But with what? The question haunted me and haunted me. I tried everything. From It's My Life from Bon Jovi, to Michelle Branch's Goodbye To You. but nothing. It was just another plain music video with no meaning, until I was up late one night and there was a re-run of Smallville.
"Somebody Save Me. i Don't Care How You Do It, Just Save Me."
I pictures little Haku, alone in the snow, screaming those words out as Zabuza walked towards him. That was it, Save Me was "The One"

Theory and Lyrics

Each scene is important to the video, some more than others, but each scene holds inside it a part of the puzzle to understand the music video better. Even the colour scheme I used, which idea I must admit I got from one of my favourite Music Video "Always." So let me explain.
The [A] Music Video starts with Sakura, Sasuke, Kakashi and Naruto standing infront of Haku and Zabuza's graves. Sakura had just engulfed Haku's cross with flowers, then she stands up and walks away. Theres a focus on the graves and Naruto standing infront of them for one last time, sighing, all footage accompanied by soft music. The screen fades to black and the song begins.
The colour scheme I used is mainly the normal colours, then tints of blue and red. Blue is a cold colour, showing memories which one rather isolates and rather forgets, yet it is hard to do so, while red is a warm colour. It can be warm and hot, warm in the sence of friendly and passionate, and hot in the sence of deadly at times.
The song begins and there is a sort of twist in reality, as both Kakashi and Naruto starts thinking about thier past encounters with their enemies.
"I feel my wings have broken in your hands,
I feel the words unspoken inside..."
Haku explains to Naruto how quiet his family was, how happy they were together before they knew .. before they knew of his curse. Happiness for Haku is freedom and wings resemble freedom. When his parents realised what Haku was, tragedy fell over the family. The father killed the mother and in terror, Haku, unable to speek out his feelings, unable to control the words of fear inside him, uses his abilities to escape, killing his father.
"And they pull you under, "
He was happy, yet his curse, his strenght, his true nature, took it away, pulling him inside himself, locking his heart, tought, mind and childhood.
"And I will give you anything you want, oh"
These words bring us to mind the promise Haku makes to Zabuza, which explains thier encounter in the video. Haku would have done anything for Zabuza, be anything he wanted him to be, no matther the cost.
"You are all I wanted,"
What did Zabuza want back then? 1 thing. Power, and the child born of a special bloodline had it all. Haku was a human trophy for Zabuza. On the other hand, Zabuza was also what Haku wanted. Someone who acknowledged his power for what it was.
"All my dreams are fallin’ down,
Crawlin’ around and around and around... "
Years after that very first encounter, they till fought together. Different opponents, different strategies, yet this time, it wasn't the same. Haku knew that this time they had a worthy advercery. So was it true, was his dream, Zabuza, going to fall. Not if he could help it.
"Somebody save me,
Let your warm hands break right through it,
Somebody save me,
I don’t care how you do it, just
Stay, stay
C’mon, I’ve been waiting for you"
Haku fights Sasuke. The reason? To prove himself worth to be by Zabuza's side. He needed to a wrothy opponent to show his ultimate loyalty towards Zabuza. The final words enphasise this even more. "I've been waiting for you," while Haku uses his strongest Jutsu, once again, showing Zabuza he is hos tool, just like he always wanted.
"I see the world has folded in your heart,
I feel the waves crash down inside..."
Haku finally meet someone like him. Someone who was also burnt from birth. Naruto. Both Haku and Naruto suffer pregudice when they where younger, explaining why Haku would see Naruto more like a friend than an enemy.
"And they pull me under..."
While talking to Naruto, Haku remembers his past, once again, forcing him into his blue, deep, dark memories locked inside his heart.
"And, I would give you anything you want, oh
You are all I wanted,"
Thinking about these words, Haku can only remember that first encounter. The moment he first saw the devil and made the pact. He'll be his to acknowledge his strenght, cause that is what Haku really wanted.
"All my dreams have fallen down,
Crawling around and around and around..."
The Demoniac ice Mirrors, the strongest Jutsu Haku could perform, was broken by Naruto. The mirror, falling gently behind Naruto, was Haku's dream. The dream to protect Zabuza always, to show him that he was his invincible tool. Now it fell, and was gone.
"Somebody save me,
Let your warm hands break right through it,
Somebody save me,
I don’t care how you do it, just
Stay, stay
C’mon, I’ve been waiting for you..."
It was Zabuza's turn to be saved. Not only physically, but also at heart. Zabuza needed to realise that he wasn't as alone as he always thought. He needed to realise that Haku had been there for him all along. He needed to be saved from his eternal sadness, and so was done.
"All my dreams are on the ground,
Crawling around and around and around..."
Zabuza reacts to the death of his loved one. He attacks those which had hired him and later showed no respect towards his little Haku. He had finally opened his eyes and realised that he had more than he had ever dreamed of, yet once again, Haku died, and the dream was gone.
"Somebody save me,
Let your warm hands break right through,
Somebody save me,
I don’t care how you do it,
Just stay (stay with me)
I made this whole world shine for you...
Just stay, stay
C'mon, I’m still waiting for you."
Nothing was left. No haku, no selfish dreams for power, no dear ones, just people who wanted him dead. Could he ever find salvation. He had seen salvation all those years and never cared, blinded with his own ego, and he could do nothing be revenge this saviour, hoping they might go in the same place.

It may not be the best music video ever, but i now that whenever I want to remember haku and Zabuza, which turned out to be 2 of my favourite anime characters, I'll know what music video to watch.
