Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

New member, new video

Hi. I just finished a video (my first amv... but by far not my first video).
Um... it's FLCL to Bjork's Bachelorette. I literally just signed up.. and just finished.. well technically it's still converting but anyway... I'm done.. I think... POINT IS.. I was wondering if I could get comments. It's not online yet.. not sure where I'll put it.. um.. I can send it to people if so desired... or not.. but.. yeah. Hello.

Heh, well, if you've got extra cash, you can donate to the org, and then you can upload it in a few days when the transfer is confirmed. Otherwise, just wait 2wks and you can upload any anime vids (that don't have sexual nudity or excessive violence) to the local storage area. In the meantime, AIM transfers usually do pretty good - especially if you're not on dial-up (like me). ^_^;;

Well I'm definitely not on dial-up.
I didn't know anyone could upload here.. I thought signing up just meant for posting on the forum. That'd be cool then. I can wait a couple weeks, I'm still finding errors.
Thanks :)

No problem. And if you want to see what the site has available, check the 'Member Main page' and the 'search vids' option - any vid with a green local link can only be downloaded once your waiting period expires, but once it does you can put your vids up for 'local' downloading - and they'll be available to all members. It's very convenient. And on the main member page you can check the options for adding new vids to your profile page, and editing them, uploading, etc. Just go look around, and check out the 'sticky posts' in the different forum topics - they'll tell you a lot about the site and the rules and stuff. Also, if you have a good connection and you use AIM, you can always check out the amv chatroom - there's a link for that on the member main page. ^_^ Have fun.
