ECS.01: Metropolis
This will likely not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a style I've been wanting to try for a long time now, and an aesthetic I've been wanting to pursue for years. I hope you enjoy!

Re: ECS.01: Metropolis
I really, really like this, but that's probably no surprise at all.
Totally enjoy the moody, ambient feeling of the first half of the video, and the clips in the final minute or so gradually amp up the action in a way that kept me hooked, lending some dramatic stakes to your tour through this gritty but beautiful world. I suppose I have mixed feelings about some of the more violent scenes and what they actually accomplish here but I think that's just me wanting some kind of dreamy video experience that this was never quite meant to be (nor were any of the other AMVs that you cited as inspirations for this work).
Really good, definitely a palate cleanser and a break from the effects fatigue I've got on the brain these days.

It's probably worth noting that your music and AMV tastes and the videos/music you've shown me over the past years had a huge influence on my desire to make a video like this, so thank youseasons wrote:I really, really like this, but that's probably no surprise at all.

To be honest, I also was a little sketchy about including the more "violent" scenes but I felt that they were necessary if I wanted to really accurately represent the city of Metropolis as it's shown in the movie. Keep an eye out for my future projects though, you might get something closer to what you want
