Rika's Song -- When they Cry
My Otakon 2010 submission. It doesn't look like I made the finals, so I'll release my video now.
Overall, I wanted to do a more "serious" When they Cry video. Most of them tend to be funny or creepy... which really works for When they Cry... but we're missing some good serious videos. Also, there aren't enough AMVs for Higurashi, so I wanted to contribute to the pool.
I hope you enjoy it.

I really like how you wanted to show it from the main character of higurashi (no one ever concentrates on Rika, so this was a nice change from other higurashi videos)
It seems like you wanted to go for Rika hoping for change and persevering to obtain it, but the tone of the song doesn't fit the bloody scenes AT ALL. The other scene choices seem too literal to the lyrics, which distracts from the main point of the video. There was emotion in the scenes once the chorus hit so I enjoyed that =D Editing was okay, but nothing too special

Thank you very much for your opinion! This was indeed one of my main themes to the AMV, but the one that you missed was also Rika's depression, which is where the 2nd verse comes in. Rika never was angsty or emo... but she definitely was showing signs of depression in early in the 2nd season. I wanted to draw a focus on the Lyrics to kind of focus on that depression in the 2nd verse. Of course, if you missed it... it just means that I have to edit it better next time. I do feel that it was my weakest verse however, so I do somewhat agree with you however.
