I hate this band... siiiigh....

Well, the song and the anime are already way overused (both have been used together many times as well) so in terms of creativity, it's not very creative. The really short cross-fades you had between clips gave it a glitchy look. Also, it did seem to have glitches every now and then.
The way you brought in Kanae wasn't really great. All of a sudden she just popped in on the chorus. I've seen the anime, of course, so I know her role, but how you introduced her made me unsure of what her role was at all. She didn't have any relationship with any of the previous characters in your amv, until you see her standing beside Takaki. You can't figure out what her relationship is with anyone just by listening to the lyrics either.
It was kind of boring, because the clips you used are the ones most commonly used. The clip choice didn't really fit the song either, imo. I could see it sometimes, but it was just a blur.
My biggest recommendation is that if you're going to make a vid with 5cm and ask for crit, then try and make it stand out somewhat by being a little more original. It's hard with this source, but if you don't make it special in some way, it's just gunna be another 5cm amv in the crowd.

All aboard the Shinkai train. CHOO CHOO.

I watched the preview, but by the 1:24 mark (I checked), I lost all interest. The song itself is part of the problem. Maybe it's more proof I am getting old, because I do not know this band, have never heard of them, and the song just sounded like mishmash of clashing sounds, so it was hard to pick up the movement of sounds. Then, I agree very much with Taite, that the scene selection seemed wrong. Not just for the lyrics I could make out, but because there was no sense of movement in your editing. There was no flow in this video really, and that made it easy to turn away from.

Like the others have pointed it's not enough to stand above the crowd and not the easiest song choice to get into but went well. Softer crossfades may have helped the flow. Sometimes you just have make a certain kind of AMV and move on. :) For what it was I like it.

Well i myself am i big fan of the band and this is one of their most beautiful songs..i don't get why you didn't use the whole song instead of using only the climax, because like this the climax doesn't rly come out and people who don't know the song will indeed get the feeling its a " mishmash of clashing sounds" as Kionon put it =p The beauty of the song is the song as a whole, also telling a story ^^ Also the sound quality wasn't the best, but that can also just be my headset cause its kinda broken, if thats the case dont worry about it =p

As far as editing you did oke. Nothing too spectacular but that's not needed to make a good amv. The things u did put in u tried to match to the beat, so thats a good attitude ^^ And i did see the story in it so it was nice =) But i would've left out the other girl in the climax, since you already shortened the song so you don't have much time left to tell a full story ^^
And indeed as a tip i would say try to mix in some crossfades and fades to black and such. It's not needed all the time but it can help your amv =)

I recently just got into the band about 4-5 months ago. Me myself hate how they changed there name, i feel they also changed there style, so i stick with their Trading Yesterday work instead!

Amv wise, thanks! I try not to use to many transitions because i always end up overusing them xD!
Thanks for the tip saphirre!

Yes i do agree, i liked their work as trading yesterday better too. I've heard the singer has now left the band though and is doing a solo project, but i haven't listened to it yet. Anyway i like your taste ^^
