Best Trailer - AWA XIV Expo Contest 2008

This was a fun video to make. I got the idea for this video due to good timing I guess. Shortly after I had finished watching Death Note, I saw the trailer on TV for The Eye. I thought the movie looked cool but didn't think much else. I saw the commercial again a couple of days later and almost immediately thought: "Oh my God, that's PERFECT!" And I began planning.

I'd also like to note that I finished this video on 1/22/08 (Yes before the movie came out.) and was limited to a three day period to complete the video at only a few hours a day. This was due to my laptop at the time being too insufficient (AKA: A piece of crap) to make the video well, so I did while visiting Melichan923 for the weekend, but I couldn't spend the whole time there working on this could I? That would be rude. I owe her a lot for this video and couldn't have made it without her, so Thank you very much Meli-chan. I owe you.

Although this video is the first I've uploaded here, it's one of many and my most recent. This video was easily the most fun to make, the most hard to make, and also the most rewarding to complete. It was my first time doing many things. It was my first time seriously working with lipsync and not relying on "luck." It was my first REAL project made outside of Windows Movie Maker other then silly little things. It was the first AMV I PLANNED instead of making it up as I went along and also the first one I jumped around in, instead of working from beginning to end. I could go on and on with the firsts this was for me, but I'm pretty sure nobody cares.

I will however say one more thing. This is my first video to ever win a "Best of" Category at a convention. :D and so far it's won two. One however was at a smaller convention.

That being said, I enjoyed making this and I hope you enjoy watching it. ^_^ I honestly have to say that after seeing the movie, I was shocked at how well the theme and mood of my video matched the theme and mood of the movie.

*Gets*

Yay, first to get, comment, and give an opinion!

You already know how much I love this. ;) The trailer is really well done. It has an amazing, original concept and was executed very well. Keep up the great work. :)
