Hi Guys!

Just made an AMV from clips of the Soulbound Trailer of The Last Remnant mixed with Yakusoku wa Iranai by Maaya Sakamoto (Vison of Escaflowne's opening song).

Title: Final Relic - A Last Remnant AMV

I'm sorry if I couldn't provide you with a local link due to problems with my Upload Page. I'll be uploading this through FTP as soon as my Upload Page works again.

Hoping that you could provide me with some comments or opinions regarding the AMV.

Cheers! :)

Hello :) Is this your first time editing? I think the game's trailers contain some solid footages but you really should cut them down and arrange them to the music. I think the biggest issue for me is the length of the cuts - the shots are simply too long; there is no sync to the music (feels kinda like you slapped the trailer right on top of the music without actually "editing")

There are some good syncs, for example at 0:39 and also at 0:57. But the majority of the shots simply don't work very well with the music - it's not the problem with the footage, it's really the timing of the cuts.

Keep practicing though - I am new to AMV myself. :) I find the best way to learn is watch other people's AMVs; find some that you really like and ask yourself "Why does this video work so well?"

Let me know if you revisit the concept. ^_^

Thanks for the opinion. Although that wasn't what I was expecting.

Actually, if I would cut the videos and sync them to the different parts of the song, then there wouldn't be any footage left since this is only a very small trailer for the game.

But don't worry, I'll still keep to mind whatyou have said :)

Thanks! :)

If the source material is limited then you probably need to cut the song short or grab footages from elsewhere - that's a game by SquareSoft right? Think I saw that game on GameTrailers.com. I am pretty sure there are more trailers for this game than the one you used - so grab more, or use footages from other Square games - the CG style is remarkably similar to FFX - FFXII, etc... they should blend seamlessly. :)

Yes there are.

But the other trailers contain the same footage. In fact, their even shorter than the trailer where I took the clips :)

The problem is this is only a new game with a few trailers.

That's why I had to use the short version of Yakusoku wa Iranai because I knew there weren't enough footage.

If this were a 30 minute anime, I should have had enough clips to edit.

I'm really very sorry that I only had limited materials for this AMV...
