What the hell, I'll bite.
*meh gets*
EDIT:
Ok...
*The first 35 seconds of the AMV is very decitful. It's the first 35 seconds of death note (the actual anime) with some weird filter, that deludes you inot a false sense of security that makes you think the quality is good. Then the rest of the video has this really nasty looking video quality.
*Editing was unfortunetly bland. It falls into the cookie cutter format of hard rock song + Death Note + Killing People With Writing Names + People Dying Scenes = AMV. I will say that the attempts of sync witht he small boxes of light wriging names was a nice attempt. The scenes slowed down were painfully obvious that they had been slowed down. The TV filter effect got old after a while too.
*What the video truely lacks is a coherent plot. I couldn't get anything past perhaps "Light wants to kill everybody" plastered over a hard rock song.
*There was seldom to no sync in the video. Sure the lyric sync matches up pretty well. "Kill your enemies" is exactly what the whole video is about. But that doesn't always make a good video. Sure, you matched the video to the audio's lyrics, but without any real sync (like matching a drum beat to something or perhads a guitar rip) outside of that, it's kind of a bland and unoriginal video.
*I can say that from 2:47 to 3:00 was probably the high mark of the video. It had a semblence of beat sync with the footage shaking insanely, and I guess it was pretty nice if you can overlook the pitiful quality.
I also suggest reading this, this, this, this and that
Those should help out.
Good luck!

well that helps out a bit, im still new to the AMV thing, and you don't get much advise from the Utube world. this info will influence my next amv a lot. patience would probably be a game winner for me i think. how much time do you usually spend on an AMV? this particular one took me about 3-4 hours.
