Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

A tentative and rather timid announcement of my first amv on a-m-v.org. Please feel free to give any advice - and I promise this is my last Final Fantasy amv. As soon as virtualdub finishes..... sigh.

That video.. had potential, I guess? I didn't exactly enjoy watching it, even though the pacing was fine to keep me watching. The transitions were placed just nicely and such. It's just that your mood sync was off.. This is an aggressive, angsty song, yet what I see is some random scifi landscapes and random people to keep my interest? It's a random video and makes me wonder whether you really had any clue what you wanted to do with this video when you started editing it.. You gotta keep the visuals and the song going on the same tracks, which unfortunately this video didn't really do....

But, the sync wasn't bad. As I said earlier, the pacing was fine. And I wasn't really bothered by your effects either ;) They weren't top-notch but didn't distract me either.

2/5

EDIT: Forgot to mention.. I think you should take a little closer look at the technical guides. The video quality wasn't all that shiny..

Thank you Emong - it is a bit random I agree - it's mostly a practice vid for Vegas but I agree I still could have made a bit more of a theme there I guess.

Thanks for the tip on the guide - I'll definately go check it out. My game footage has suffered a lot of bashings so I need to find out what I've done lol.
