Replying to an opinion
Well, almost everyone is asking in the profile of his/her video for opinions to be given. And it's fair to ask for sth like this since he/she has spent some/much/too much time for this video and wants to find out how good was his/her try and furthermore improve himself/herself through the comments made.
But after being given an opinion, doesn't he/she the obligation to reply to the opinion given?I believe that apart from asking for opinions,he/she should reply to the ones given.
Even if they are of this style:" ~all ratings 10~ I liked it a lot.It was perfect.Way to go".Some people over here don't have much knowledge of amvs and how they are made but still acknowledge the good stuff without getting into more details.Let's thank them for the time they also spend in this opinion by some words.Even a "Thanks a lot" is appreciated.
And that doesn't only go to this type of opinions.ALL opinions should be replied by the creator no matter how many they are.To let the audience know that the creators check what others say about them. And it's the worst of all to give an opinion and never get a reply. It's like the creator "bitches" his/her audience.
Anyway,I've said too much.I'm also a creator and always replies to the opinions given to my videos. But when I give an opinion and never get a reply,it pisses me off.And that's okay for vids which have too many opinions(Shounen Bushido,Euphoria,etc.).But when you have 1 or 2 opinions, isn't it ridiculous to at least thank those people for these opinions?
Hope I didn't offend anyone.I just wanted to express sth that many of us may have felt when giving opinions.

They, their, themselves, all are acceptable, you don't need he/she. It would be kind of nice to know that the person you gave it to acknowledges it when you've only got a few on a video, but beyond that, unless there's something specifically new or that made a impression on you, why bother?

Truthfully, though, sometimes I feel like what I write doesn't matter one whit to some folks. Some people are just after the scores and the potential ranking on the top ten percent that follows. If the opinion-ers get a decent response, it makes them feel like their thoughts were appreciated. Even if it's just a score-hoarder writing a "thanks for the op," at least the person took a minute out of his or her day to acknowledge that something was done for him or her. That's important for me, at least. When I know people are listening to my thoughts, it encourages me to write more opinions - and isn't that what so many people are after on this site? More feedback?
Anyway, I've always thought that a response was just the polite thing to do, except in cases where there are just a grossly huge amount of opinions on the video. (See: Euphoria)
Speaking of which... Koop... I'm curious. At what point did you stop reading opinions for Euphoria? Did you ever go back and try to read them all? This is assuming your browser can do it without crashing.

Sure, it's polite to leave a response to an opinion. Most of us, unlike Koop dont' have to deal with 800 ops on a video. I know that I try to, regardless of how much they are begging me to pay their psychiatric bills for subjecting them to Shatners ramblings.
I know that whenever I leave an extended OP I like to check back and see how it was recieved, or if I was way off base. Most of the time it helps me to refine my technique. However, there are plenty of people that don't bother. Some, drop a PM instead of a reply for some reason.
Replies are like ops: be glad when you get 'em, but don't get all emo if you don't.
