what is the best way to browse through AMVs on this site?

Post by jamester22 » Thu Dec 09, 2004 8:21 am

I'm new the the AMV scene and this site has tons of AMVs... I've found some extremely good AMVs but I've also found some really crappy ones... what's the best way to browse for AMVs? I don't have any preference... comedy, romance, action... I love it all.

If you want really good ones, go to Top 10.

Yeah, I've seen all of those and they are great... but I want more!

There are 250 videos in that list, you mean to tell us you've watched every single one of them?

You may want to try Top Star Scale and Top Favorite Videos as well, although there will be a lot of overlap. In addition, you may want to try the AMV Contest Lists website, which will give you complete lists (and 'Org links when available) of every AMV Contest and AMV Contest Winner in the past few years.

Awesome, that's exactly what I'm looking for! One of my favorite parts of anime cons is watching AMV contests. Thanks man.

And I thought he meant just the top 10. I didn't realize there were more on there. Thanks angel.

I really like getting videos off of people's sigs (not their own videos.) They are always good, and usually pretty fresh. Plus it random and you'll get a lot of vids you wouldn't have seen otherwise, like the one in my sig now.

You can also go to the annocement forums, where you can see what vids people are talking about and get the latest from the big name creators.

For older vids there are a bunch of filters on the top ten percent page, you can adjust them based on the mood you're in and see what comes up.

Another good way to find stuff if to look at the profiles of people who's videos you like. Check out their favorite amv lists, and also maybe check out some of their vids that you havent seen.
