3D objects are typically used for high-end 3D applications such as Maya, Houdini, and Softimage on SGI and Wintel workstations, a general user program like Cool 3D which is catered for people like myself and most AMV makers may be an option.
I ask this question because I was playing around with Uead Cool 3D and got fairly satisfactory results for adding nice little to my game guide. I created a rotating Sega logo and a few other things which I overlayed in my video.
While something like COOL 3D does not touch on many of the features offered by high-end 3D applications, the realm of 3D text and object animation it can offer people who make minor web videos a rich array of 3D tools for creating impressive lower thirds, high-impact intros and scene jumps as well as entertaining subject matter for their vids.
So if you can point me to any amv's that have used 3D objects in them, as there must be at least one, i'd be interested in seeing how creative people can be with their transitions etc.
