Have you ever wanted to do a video but....

Have you ever wanted to do a video with a song that is overused and 90% of the videos done to that song no offense to anyone just aren't worth watching. But were to nervous to make a video to do that song because amv creators may lose there respect for you if you did a video to that song. For example "in the end". Lets say Senta Miller did a video to it would you lose respect and call him not original. Or did he have an idea that would work and create an awsome video that could redeem him. That's what I'm going through right now. This video is still about three projects away but I have this great idea that is going to require mad editing. Something I haven't done before. My first true action video that will probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 to 400 cuts if I do it the way I want. The estimated time with college and everything else would probably be 6 months of editing or more. Right now I don't care if people call it unoriginal but it is unfair to let a video go by just because it is an overused song with hardly any good videos done to it.

Do it, if you feel like not releasing it when it's done... Oh well, you had the fun of doing it?

I am probably going to do it. I have to stop thinking about my audience I guess and focus on what I want to do like I have been doing in the past. That's probably what makes my amv's what they are. I just had a talk with Toji and basically he told me the same thing. Anyway. It probably willn't be out for a year or so. That's a while down the road.

It doesn't matter if a song has been used to death or not - maybe you'll be
the one who get's the AMV correct where others have had no-insite.

Example ...

AMV that "got it right" - Rhapsody Of The Stars.rm

- now this one, I truly wish was done in an avi -or mpeg!

"Faint" and I have much more respect for him now cause he had the balls to do it. If you go through his profile you'll see that he doesn't give shit for the people on this site.

Dew it man. If it'll please you then go for it. Plus, the ammount of people on this site that like LP is greater than the ammount of people that hate it. It's the same with every overused band. You'll get a large number of dlds either way, some might even go and check your other stuff as well. No one on this site holds the official right to any song (unless it's the artist) and can't forbid you to use it. Heck, you even say that it might be the best video to it? If that's the case then you must do that video. Even Phade said something similar as far as I remember.
