The org's "opinion" system.

Post by SuperFusion » Sun Oct 17, 2004 8:10 pm

I don't understand why so many people keep asking for opinions when people leave there comments/opinion in the thread that was made. What's the difference between leaving one in the thread and leaving one on the page? Don't understand this at all.. :?

Opinions are the stuff attached to your AMV, for you and the people downloading it to see. They can obtain information of average scores( like maverick said), responses, etc. Its also an attachment that can stay there with the AMV without it ever dying out, unlike threads.

When "some" people receive opinions I guess they think it's gonna be a good one. But when I left a honest opinion and the score was low, I got bashed for it. The evil of that damn thing. :?

A tip is to not use put down's when you give them low scores (even if you're honest). I find that avoids them getting angry at you the most...

I didn't bash or anything. The creator thought his vid was flawless that's all.

I don't know if its that they think their vid is flawless, but like with my latest akira video. It is by far the video I worked the hardest on. I used effects I'd never used, and did a lot of things I'd never done. I really worked hard on it... and when u get back 7's (although not bad) its just a bit of a let down. I mean, my kare kano got 9's and 10's and I didn't try as hard on that. I think its just a let down. And I guess some people don't know how to appreciate the fact that someone took the time to watch the video and leave there opinion. I mean, afterall, its what you asked for.

Because comments in the thread don't count towards the top 10% rankings which for some people is very important. Also of some consideration is that a person who finds your video on a random search can see the op scores right there on the info page but won't see the comments in the thread.

That happens. One of several reasons I won't run a free op thread or submit unasked for ops again.
