Question about uploading videos?

Post by Rowen Kross » Sat Jan 31, 2004 6:09 pm

Well my question is this. I have the same video but with two different versions of the same music (english and italian) and I wanted to put both versions for download. Is it against the rules to have the two videos on? or if I put the second on a direct or indrect link would that be ok?

From what I can tell, you could make a different video entry for each version. That's what I did with my Brothers In Arms 2 video, although I'm considering getting rid of one of the two versions since no one really gives half a crap about it, including myself.

Or you could use a container that supports multiple audio streams...

If the songs are in completely different languages then the lyric sync (whether literal or just audio) should make the video tracks different as well. In that case, they *would* be two completely different videos and should be listed separately.

Dear God, NO!

Ogg is more... How do I put this... widely used. Matroska lags my computer to hell anyways, so, go with OGG, there's a guide on a torrent site (won't list is cause I don't wanna get banned) and they have a guide to encoding with dual audio (although they do eps and movies, I still won't list it cause of banning)

I really don't know much about the whole duel audio formate. All i really wanted to know was could upload the second one or not? also the two different versions are amazingly close on timing. It's just a much more beautiful song in italian. So I wanted to make it available.

maybe you should only upload the Italian version then. the viewers don't always need to know the language of the video to enjoy it. there are a lot of popular amvs out there in non-English languages.

...unless the english version is a very different experience (for example the video depends on the viewer understanding the lyrics)
