Project DOOMRIDER:Check this out!

Post by dbz_doomrider » Mon Jul 21, 2003 8:30 pm

Hey, to all you talents here,

My name is DBZ_Doomrider, and I have been an editor/viewer of AMV's for many-a-year. I am a great fan of anime, although, as you can see from my name, I have a general inclination towards the DragonBall Z series, and it's respective counterparts. Essentially, I have come here due to recommendations by many friends of an extremely prevailant amount of talent strewn about this place. The good things I've heard have encouraged me enough to start posting here as well ^_^.

However, I come with an invitation. I want anybody who wishes to consider joining Project DOOMRIDER. (Many of you have already heard of it...but)

What exactly is this Project DOOMRIDER you ask?

Project DOOMRIDER is a jointly created video, first and foremost.
The concept is the use of a SINGLE anime through all of us. The anime is DragonBall Z. The aim of the project is to become a final atonement for all the horrid DBZ oriented music videos that have come out to taint the series, and sour the taste of the series to fans who have inherited the disability to not see potential in the series. Aside from that, the video is meant to redeem the series in the eyes of many, aside from asking forgiveness, and perhaps draw in new fans. I am aiming for perfection, and I mean perfection, because for what I aim for, nothing less will do.

Currently involved in Project DOOMRIDER are the following:

DBZ_Doomrider
Jesmaster
VegettoEX
MeriC
NonProfessional
SSJVegita0609
Castor Troy
Life Host

Danny Wilson
Devolution
Karzaran
Xenodrake
Ikasu

Tentatively:

The song has been established, as well as the seperate segments and intervals, so if you are interested in joining, you will be provided with those details, and the options that are open to it. Thanks alot ^_^.

I love how all these decisions are being made without any conversation on the message board for this project.

Thanks for being kept in the loop.

As the main tech guy.

VegettoEX....the project board hasnt been posted on because no activity was happening on there, but now, rest assured, all members of the project are being sent there....

Aside from that, you disappeared from AIM, so I've had no real way of talking to you '-_-......

Dude, I still appreciate all your help and patience, but I do need to talk to you still, and I havent -really- talked to you for about 5 months now....

Explain?

Heh, don't feel bad, I know I'm in this project. :) I think we discussed it over AIM, or it was Mike speaking on my behalf over AIM... in any case, this involved my consent.

My e-mail box is always open... I'm not on AIM with school and work going on...

I'm the last one to post in two different threads on the forum. No-one contacts me. Knowing there's a forum, which I'm posting at, how am I supposed to know (or anyone ELSE supposed to know) of any other decisions being made?

I mean, if there's a forum for people on the project, shouldn't decisions and thoughts be placed THERE? Makes logical sense to me.

No-one's posting there? Perfect opportunity to... well... POST there and get conversation going.

You've apparently decided on a song, which is fine and dandy. You've also divided up into "sagas." Great.

What about time lengths for "tracks" ? Are there enough / too many "sagas" to fit into the time length of the song? Speaking of the song, what edit of the song are we using? Who's got the CD? Does the person taking the Cell Games understand that the DVDs aren't released yet in either the US or Japan? They'll have to capture the domestic VHS releases?

This all seems SO haphazardly put together right now, it's mind-boggling. I don't see the project HAPPENING at this rate.

There's no communication happening... and that's EVERYONE's fault...

Alright, now to try and tackle your million points :p

1.My e-mail box is always open... I'm not on AIM with school and work going on...

A. I tried e-mailing you once, and you never e-mailed back...I tried again, same thing...why do you think I went to chase after you at daizex.com :p....

2. I'm the last one to post in two different threads on the forum. No-one contacts me. Knowing there's a forum, which I'm posting at, how am I supposed to know (or anyone ELSE supposed to know) of any other decisions being made?

A. I try to contact you...all the time...I tried for a month and you wouldnt respond....and nobody in the group was checking the message board...until now that is, and I am sorry for that, but now all updates WILL be placed there.....I'll alert every new and old member, yet again, about the url/password to that forum. I can understand why you feel a little left in the dark :p...

A. The track lengths are roughly 25 seconds each, depending, however, the time intervals have not yet been placed, they will be very shortly. There will be an exactly equal amount of sagas to fit the song time...I have it spaced out specifically planned for that.
Speaking of the song...Xenodrake happens to be experienced in music and he is ripping the original version of Sandstorm from CD, which so happens to be 7:30, using his own "magic". Just trust me about that....
Those taking the Cell Games DO understand the dvds aren't domestically released, and the best we can do, and likewise with the Great Saiyaman/UnderWorld Tournament footage....is capture with the best quality possible. There is no better alternative currently, and those capturing those parts have very nice quality cards at their hands. Hopefully, the quality will remain close to perfect, as I wish for all of it. Of course...I wish it was -PERFECT-, but if that can't happen....well, our loss
'-_-.

Well, I hope that puts you a little more into the light on my perspective man.....O.o

(Same thing, slightly shorter, word Project is hard 2 read, but it meets the requirements of a-m-v.org.)
