Same here. Compared to my first one the second AMV I made is teh suck. I can't even say that it was because "I used a different program this time and wasn't really familiar with it yet". Too bad I haven't lost them yet.

as much as i hate to admit this, i have done the same thing... but at the same time some of the videos i liked before I started editing were also rather good.... I remember having a mentality of "even a video with fansubs can be good as long as it has a good theme" and there are some that have a great concept, i just wish and cry that they cant/wont polish it and make it look pretty... ok maybe not cry... but its painful to watch sometimes..

yea my 10th video still gets all the downloads and all the hits, and i know I have done better... just people are turned off by WMV but i cant compress worth crap. so i stick with what i know, and it comes out alright, thats the only thing i can think of at the moment that would be holding back all my newer videos...

I went back and cropped the subs of my first 5 videos (not that it would matter as i have the DVDs anyways, i just didnt know how to rip DVDs back then) and that was painful enough for me to watch them that i put on some of the video descritpions that if i were to remaster these, i would completely remake them from the ground up with different scenes and everything, so i couldnt upload them as a remaster... aside from "laughing at myself" and getting nostalgic or whatever i am more thinking "WTF?? was I thinking??" and irritated when I get an opinion on them telling me how much crap it was lol.... but yea... i usually reply with "ive made something newer, your op is nothing anymore cause i am beyond your advice review one of my newer ones.." or something maybe less bitter... lol.

I guess i am lucky that i havent come across too many jaded editorers telling me how to make vids..... :D but this is probably an open invitation to any who will remark at me. oh well.

That would be a fun topic all on its own. 'Cause...well, don't get me started. ;)

x3!

My least favorite video of mine, and worst technically, is my highest rated video. However, one of my favorite videos gets crappy scores. WTF, mate?

LOL.. I'm new here. I remember doing the same, taking clips from other people's using movie maker. I used to just put in a bunch of clips and make the movie. And somehow, in a coincidence, combined it with a random song and it turned out to be OK. My Rurouni Kenshin - Everybodys Fool was like that at first, but I fixed it up. Other day downloaded some more music videos of Rurouni Kenshin and I see some clips I know of that was from another music video. I used to take clips from other people, but I didn't take the cheezy ones. I took the ones with good quality. Well, that was back then. I DVD-rip now, and figured it's so much better then taking other clips from people.
