Ugh... The most of them are so old that I´m sure that they´re not at the org.

I discovered: Apartment 26 (my all time favorite´s), 30 seconds to Mars, Kidney Thieves, Spineshank, Static X, Korn,...

They´re just my favorite bands and I own at least one record from theire works. Of course there are some other bands I´ve more stuff too: Megaherz, Sunna, SoaD, Powerman 5000, Bush, Moonspell, A Perfect Circle, Three Days Grace...
(ok I own some CDs there too...)

You can say that I´m spending a lot of money because of amvs, if you want to. I wouldn´t listen to most of my stuff if there weren´t amvs. In spcially unkown bands like Apartment 26 or Kidney Thieves.
You can find me on YT under "Bauzi514". Subscribe to never miss my AMV releases. :amv:

Beo introduced me to The Beta Band, Radiohead, Nirvana, Marilyn Manson and Gorillaz. He (or at least the HypeO forums) also kinda introduced me to Bob Dylan without even making an AMV using his music though.
Wonka introduced me to 30 Seconds to Mars, Citizen Cope and Tool.

Fun facts:
This is DBZ Life introduced me to Fight Club and its OST.
silver_moon introduced me to Shackled which is now my top 5 song ever according to last.fm statistics. Same goes with Prince_Majin_Trunks' Tribute to Serena Video which introduced me to Vindicated which is now my number 1 song on last.fm.
Kwasek's A Thousand Miles got me into Vanessa Carlton which made me later on discover my most favorite music album ever: Harmonium.
The classic Flash Before Your Eyes got me interested in the Eels and even made me perform the exact same song together with other nerds on a school trip.
JCD's Between Earth and Spirit showed me that not everything electronic has to be shit, as well as his late Pure Love showed me that even Eurobeat can have its moments.

There's a lot more but those are the big one's I'd say.

A lot of bands I've actually really gotten into through Iron Chefs, Mad Caddies and Venetian Snares in particular.
Other than those, I'm like a couple other people here, I get my favourite music from other people who just send it my way, thinking I might enjoy it. (Thanks Matt and Ileia :3)

(Though I do usually get into the bands in the ROSs, and in one unfortunate case, Ikasu got me to check out The Exies again, only to discover that they didn't have anything close to My Goddess in terms of awsm)

Let's see...

First and foremost, Bote's War of Wrath introduced me to Blind Guardian, my favorite band of all time. It also expanded my metal horizons into all that great stuff I didn't know about at the time.

And then we got several Warheart videos... Ashes of the Coming Dawn got me int Dark Tranquility, which helped me into death metal. He also got me wanting to get some Machinae Supremacy with Phoenix Rising. His MEP Demons Within got me into Nightrage.

Flint got me into several bands, but there's only one AMV by him that I can think of that made me get into a band (AKA giving Iced Earth a second chance... which I'm glad now that I did). Consequences of War, that's the one.

Thinking back, those are the ones that stand out most for me.

Haha, truth! Not for me but for my brother though. He saw me watching that video one day and since then I hear Orange Range from his speakers far too often :P

In fact now that I think of it, my brother who watches far less AMVs than me is far more influenced by them. Among other examples that he got into via AMVs would be Radiohead and Megaherz.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Same here, since I've become quite the Caspian fan since first using them in an IC. :3

The three videos that come to mind that really got me into a certain band/artist are Koop's Euphoria with Frou Frou, Nessephanie's Sunrise with This Day and Age, and AtomX's The World Moved On with This Will Destroy You. Like some others have said, it's not so much the AMVs that gets me into new artists as it is their editors, who are always hooking me up with new stuff to check out (thanks Brad and Jay! :3)

Unfortunately, I get my music from combo videos, not AMVs - the music I generally like isn't very inclined to be AMV source. Of course, if somebody can take me up on that and make video to something by Howie B or Romanowski, be my guest.
