Might I point out that it's all a matter of opinion, and that it's purely semantic idiocy to argue about the word "anime"
Zim is American Anime, in the direct definition, meaning animation. Anime is shortened english, and the word that's shortened is anime.
Honestly, if you got a computer from Japan, would you call it a Pasocom instead, and start insisting that gateway machines etc... were't true Pasocoms? I would hope not, since Pasocom is just shortened "Personal Computer (Pasonaru Kompyuuta)...
It's the stupidest argument started ever, and it's the dumbest thing to carry on about, so honestly, I wish everyone would drop the "That is anime, that's not anime" arguments, it's so elitist.
And as for arguing about whether zim is good or not, I'd liek you all to go look at the forums on fark.com and find a thread - any thread - about either Futurama or Family Guy. Note how almost every opne of them ends up being a flame war about which show is better, even if the other show isn't involved in the beginning of the thread.
This thread was pointless to begin with, developed into a nice little flame war, and leaves me with fewer brain cells.
And if you don't agree with me, you're entitled to THAT opinion, too.
