Seeing the final product and loving it. Normally it's the case since I'm kind of the only specific target audience for my videos. I normally just sit there and grin - "did I actually do that?"

Seeing it play back on my screen, full-blast, usually justifies all the effort and then some :)

(that right there should respond to Minion's query of why I don't GTFO despite my many complaints about the process itself)
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

When I´m working on a new mask, effects or mix of effects and I render it (and it works for this time...) and the whole thing is better than I thought.
This makes me happy, because than I see, that I can relise my ideas.

Talking about your video with other editors.

It doesn't matter if they've seen it or not, you can always just vent or start a conversation with something like, "You know I found out this really cool trick in <program> when editing my latest video..."

Plus, in the exchange you can learn all sorts of new things. Exchanging information about editing videos is awesome, and since you have had to actually edit a video to even understand what some people are talking about, it makes this my favorite part of AMVing.

But if that's not applicable for some inane reason, actually editing it is my favorite part. =3

My favorite part was making my first video in Vegas, because I had to Read <a href=http://www.a-m-v.org/guides/avtech31/>ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides</a> and I thought it was insanely interesting and I learned all sorts of stuff about video, most of which I didn't understand, and still don't...>_<

My most favorite part is about when I see that everyone else likes my video ^__^.......no, not really.

What I like most is watching my own videos in a row when I'm in the right mood. It makes me go all "Man I rock".

No wait, maybe it's more seeing others scream in terror when some yaoi segment from me comes up on the con screen. Yeah, that's probably the best part.

x2 ;p
and then Seeing Quick comments and ops about how the video nearly moved someone to tears (or something emotionally similar) Is the next best part of editing after that :D

I do that at work sometimes. You look in the kitchen and there's some crazy cook laughing to herself while she's slicing vegetables with a huge, sharp knife.

I wonder why the waitresses don't talk to me. :?

Coming up with the idea in the first place, and then dreaming that it's already been made and I won't have to do the actual editing.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

That's my favorite part as well. Getting it done, then watching it.
