x3...or whatever we're up to... :P

I've gotten a few of these myself...couldn't play the video, how did you do this effect, etc. etc. I can't reply unless I know who you are...and it's irritating.

As for ops, until very recently I've been in the habit of leaving an op for everything I've dl'd...and it's not that I've stopped that habit, really...it's just that I'm sooooooooo far behind it's pitiful. I honestly wish more people did this, but with the amount of editors and videos on the org, I can see why many don't. Eventually I'll get caught up, myself...eventually.

But I would also have to agree with Judge...recently I've received a lot of signed QCs...so maybe the trend IS changing...

Why don't we just have it to where the option to leave your name is available, but it isn't required?

If I want people to know who I am, I'll leave an op. I don't want to discuss a video I've left a qc for - that's why I left a qc. Ops are interractive because of the reply function. If I want to interract, I'll use them. But I don't ask questions in qcs unless it's a rhetorical question not meant to be answered.

I used to leave an op for every op I received. I even had that written on my vid descriptions - at the bottom. I think I did 300 or so before I stopped and deleted the reciprocation statements from my vids. I realized my ops were getting longer, taking longer to write, until suddenly I was forcing essays onto people who never asked for my opinion in the first place. Then I switched to free op threads, but I can never op all the people who ask for free ops, so I stop doing that, too. It's not as easy to write reviews now as it was when I knew nothing. I used to like writing reviews because I thought it was helpful for the creator, and useful for me to break down a large variety of videos. Now there doesn't seem much point.

Even if I don't review, other people will, so there's no loss. So many people in the forum complain about how useless ops are that there's no point doing free op threads. I hate seeing those same people post in my threads, like they're just doing it so I waste my time on something they've already told me they think is useless. It's like a slap in the face. What's the point? I can still leave lengthy QCs to thank people for sharing videos I enjoyed. I don't need to write ops anymore.

i sometimes sign my quick comments, but many people might not sign their's simply because they don't know that the quick comments are anonymous.

this actually brings up a good suggestion to the website. maybe their should be instructions on the main site that says "quick comments are anonymous and the creator will not know who is writing them unless you choose to sign it" etc.

Quick comments are gay, they're just another tool for people to give you meaningless feedback that usually isn't constructive at all. Fucking stupid faggots.

I tend to leave QCs on the majority of videos I download, and I usually sign them as well. It doesn't take much to write a short sentence about a video, plus I know I like getting them, so I leave them. At least that's how I look at it.

Glad to see I stuck a crod with you guys, and I think Jebadia is on to something there. Funny thing is, i started this op around 12 in the afternoon, and by 10 I had a op. It's always nice when people take these forums to heart ...AND YOU! Site programers or others who run the site, you should takes notes here.

I agree with this comment.

I've stopped leaving QCs for the most part because I think people take them too damn seriously - but when I do, it's because I don't have a novel to write and I don't think you care much about my opinion anyway. If someone asks a question in a format to which there is no reply function and does not leave contact information or a name, that person is a moron.

Anyway - I don't leave a name because I don't want QCs to become yet another irritating, drawn-out process full of wankery. That's what the Q in QC stands for. Quick.
