I used to download them when I needed them on another PC or something, but now I have them all on my own website, so I just get them from there.

And I did do try to rate them fairly when I have to, I put how I honestly feel about the video. Like I gave sexy body cowgirls a 3 when I grabbed it to put on my site, since I think I could do it alot better now ;p

I can't really rate my own videos cause I'd be too self critical. Besides I don't download my videos here because I can see them still on my harddrive.

I download it to see if it works.. then I kinda have no choice but to give it a rating.

That's what the "Confirm Upload" part of the process is for.

the confirm upload process isn't holeproof tho recently i downloaded the test of a local upload of one of my vids and everything was good and i okayed it. Next day i found that it wasn't ok, so i had to have it removed and re-upload it. I highly suggest checking your uploads even after confirming them, just in case.

Yeah, actually, just out of paranoia, I do download my own work as well to check if it's just like I meant it to be. It's all been ok so far. It allows me anyway to see things as they unfold from the downloaders point of view. I don't care much for the star scale, and I don't review my own stuff, at least not in writing, I say it often enough out loud

After like a month of no reviews, and I don't think that anyone left any opinions still, I downloaded it, which caused me to see it from an outsider's prospective and found many problems with it. More like stuff I would really like to do differnt. I rated myself objectivly. Then I found the opinion thread, and wish I didn't. Here I am, all proud the my first AMV doesn't suck, compared to 95% of all first time AMVs and making my second one better, and this guy said that my Bleach(number 2) one sucked! Though he didn't outright didn't say it. He gave me reason on why I suck, and I almost agree with him!!! Then again he gave me a 2 on originality because I used the anime Bleach. He also hated the fact that I used WMM.bastard. Well, enough ranting.

While it’s not even on the same level as my first, Girls, I found it very very good, especially for a first try. No lip flap, no subtitles, and good timing!

I've DL'd a couple of mine (the more recent releases) just to double check that it looks ok. Even though the confirm upload looked great, my paranoia wanted to make sure that they worked from a viewer's perspective.

I've never op'd myself...have always felt a little wierd about that, but when it comes to the stars, I did rate my own videos just like I would rate anyone else's, based on the same factors I use when rating vids that aren't mine. And if I was overly critical, so be it.

Same with my Wolf's Rain video. Someone said I should have focused on a topic that happened in the series after I made the amv.
