but geez a two. So, yeah anyone else here have-this never level-up probelm?
Hey Otaku , you have to try to don't feel discouraged with your ratings , if you're getting low star ratings , you may try to get some opinions for your vids in the Ops Exchange forums , to know *WHY* the low ratings and *WHAT* you can do to improve your works.

Don't exist a limit of effort to put in an AMV , even if you think that's impossible do it better , you're wrong ,I'm sure that even vids listed in the top 10% have something that the vid creators knows that could be even better.

What I'm trying to say , if you have tried hard to make good vids , try harder , but first , you have to find out what you're doing wrong.

Here it is few comments about your "Shameless Sarcasm" vid:

You must try to use Deinterlaced footage for your vids , the capture quality was bad , you must try to encode your vids with Xvid/Avi ,and synchronism in a comedy vid it's VERY important , you have to work a bit more in you act/lyrics sync. Those problems with AMVs are important when I'm giving stars for vids that I have downloaded.

And remember , if you give up , you will never gonna get high ratings for your vids , but like SSJVegita said , you don't have to care too much for other peoples thoughts , AMVs are suposed to brings fun for who make and watch them

Good Luck !

Hay thanks man.... Sorry about the shinjisms

Aw, don't give up, :( watch more anime + listen to more music = more AMV ideas. :)

Create crap? Not if you like it. I think your overall ratings are pretty good, or mine are pretty bad too. We each decide what we think is good. I don't think some deserve the stars they get , and others deserve better, but that's only my opinion. :?

(person) I think ----- I think I am ------ therefore I am ----- I think.

(government's electronic voice) Of course you are my bright little star, I've miles and miles of files, pretty files, of your forefather's fruit, and now to suit, our great computer, ------- you're magnetic ink.

(person) Whoh, ---- I'm more than that, ---- at least I think I must be.

(inner voice) There you go man, keep as cool as you can, face piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you percieve the web they weave. Keep on thinking free.

It's been said before but try not to pay to much attention to the stars. Some great vids have low star ratings and some bad vids have high star ratings. Oppinions are much more accurate (though still not perfect, especially if you only have a few)

The best way to get out of a "rut" is to make sure you have good quality. If you follow the guides and make good looking AMV's you will get a lot better feedback, regardless of content.

As far as content goes, try something different. Mix it up a little and do a video genre that you would usually stay away from.
Note: I don't know if this actually works, all my vids are in my favorite genre. You never know though, it might be good advice.

I tired reading them and I learned quite a bit ,but, it seems they
never have exactly what I'm looking for.... Hands on learner
which sucks when this is your hobby.

Hey, do what I do.

Transfer everything to avi as you need it, then transfer it out of premiere with an uncompressed option. Makes it look quite nice, you really can't tell the diffrence between it and avi synth.

Get ready to gag, I use this system:

Dvd Program : Find chapters
Smart Ripper : Rip VOBs
Flask Mpeg: Convert peices to huffy codec
(is this where I should use uncompressed)
Premiere: Make video, export (Uncompressed)
TMG encoder: AVI (uncompressed) --> Mpeg

Ok, what am I doing wrong

I could use VDMOD and rip them that way
thats about it

Heres mine

Dvd Program : Rip entire dvd
Dvd2avi: Convert peices to Microsoft V1 codec
Premiere: Make video, export (Uncompressed)
TMG encoder: AVI (uncompressed) --> Mpeg

And you get this at full screen mpeg (from my new video):

Pretty damn spiffy if you ask me.
