He posted on the forums. I remembered the name, and then discovered that he's a skilled editor and active participant in the community.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Read his interview, it should be informative.
I ran into him when I had some severe video problems on my very first video. I guess his popularity really sky-rocketed with SRV. I was thrilled with that video, his work after that hasn't managed to compell me as much. Except for his collaboration with Hsien on the "Road to iron chef" project which was just amazing.

Shame here after watching Shameless Rock. The concept was just too fucken warped for me to understand. Yeah, he's a good creator, but I think hype has killed him in my mind. He's good, but not THAT great.Quiet Cannon wrote:The first time I saw AbsoluteDestiny's name was when I checked out "Shameless Rock Video". I remember thinking, a lot of people seem to like this video and it has won a lot of awards, let's see what it's like. After watching it, my thoughts were somewhere along the lines of "What the hell was that!? I don't understand this video! Was someone high when making or watching this?"(Note: Those were pretty much my exact thoughts when watching FLCL or a lot of other AMVs using that anime) No offence, but I'm just not an abstract thinker when it comes to AMVs, and that video was too strange for me.
What's worse is that when I say something besides 'SHA<ELESS AROCK IS L337!' I get talked down to by people who say 'Well, you just can't understand the meaning behind it then.'
He kicks ass at lip sync though :p. I laughed my ass off to the beginning of 'I wish I was a lesbian'.

I don't get why everyone says he is such a nice guy. My experiences with AD have been something like 'Say something to me and consider yourself the nooblet.'Kusoyaro wrote:I mentioned in my journal that I was struggling with an AMV, so AD emailed me and offered to take a look at it. He told me it sucked, and I ended up ditching the video![]()
That was my first AD experience
He's a good editor, but self-proclaimed l337-ness gets on my nerves.

Almost everyone jumps the newbies, he just has to enforce the 'peace' and the rules, so he comes off as the 'bad guy' at times - especially if you don't know the rules and haven't read the guides before you ask a question that's already explained in the guides.Shadow Flare wrote:I don't get why everyone says he is such a nice guy. Heh, I think it's more a matter of others proclaiming his l337ness. So far I've yet to see him boast about how great his is, or any of his numerous accomplishments on the forum. He has plenty to brag about, and enough followers to have his own fanclub - but he doesn't rub it in people's faces. It's the fanclub that do the rubbing. ^.~He's a good editor, but self-proclaimed l337-ness gets on my nerves.

No offense, but I think it has something to do with your first posts all being "how do I make an AMV" or "I just got this program, how do I use it".Shadow Flare wrote:I don't get why everyone says he is such a nice guy. As for how I came to know of AD, someone recommended his Gothic Fairytale vid to me (Corran or Scintilla). The name stuck in my head because Utena's one of my favorite series.
And so, legend was born.
Another pointless post!

I heard about AD from shameless video, AD is too cool, his like the 2nd most famous amv creator ( compare to kevin of course ) and he doesn't his always willing to help on the forums, he doesn't let all the famous online b.s get to his head. Unlike "ermac" and other creators....Don't want to put anyone else on blast
