No One Piece/Styx AMVs?

OK maybe this is the cheesiest idea but I wonder why no one has made an AMV with the anime One Piece and the song Come Sail Away by Styx. It seems like an apropriate combo and most likely a sentimental subject. Just something to throw out in this forum, nothing serious.

I think it hasn't been done is for a few reasons.

First of all, the length of the song is 6:05, pretty long for an AMV. Obviously, you'd want to cut the length down and possibly eliminate the second half altogether past the 3:30ish mark where it gets "spacy".

Secondly, the lyrics really don't fit at the end unless you want to do some sort of cross-over video. (And they kinda get repetative at the end, lyrically.)

Also, there are a bunch of tone changes in the song that make it kinda harder to tie the segments together if you do the whole song. It starts slow and easy, then at the 2:25 mark it picks up. Then comes the "spacy" musical bridge starting at 3:20. Then another change at 4:20 with driving guitars and "spacy" lyrics until the end.

Personally, I think I could do this, but I'd want to get DVD sources first. Unfortunately, only the crappy edited US broadcast version of One Piece available now for $20 a volume with only 3 episodes each (no thanks!) and only the first volume is out atm. No way am I importing japanese R2 DVDs and let's not talk about bootlegs...

If you have the patience of a saint, I think I have a better One Piece AMV concept in mind. Once the episodes I need are available on DVD...

6:05 isn't THAT bad for length...nothing compared to 7:23, at any rate >_>

Truth be told, I don't know why it hasn't been done. I was going to say that it's too obvious, but that didn't stop Bleach/Ghostbusters theme.

A friend of mine has floating exactly this concept. Part of the problem, I think, lies in getting quality source. Beyond that, conceptual difficulties.

100% no...but at the same time, there has to be some feel of a mesh between them or it'll just look like the editor crapped out on that part and just slapped it together to fill out the song.
