Action amv theory question

Post by burntresistor » Fri Oct 14, 2005 9:48 pm

I’m making an action amv and wanted to know if it would be confusing for the viewer if the action scenes switch between day and night a lot. I’m asking this before I start.

Nah - can't think why not. You might even make use of this, purposely switching between light and dark just to freak out the viewer.

I had this problem in my second trailer. I had two characters that work as a team, but one only does cool things at night, and the other does everything cool in the daytime!
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.

Generally speaking, yes. If you use a couple of switches as a transition between night and day parts, then I guess it's no big deal. Still, avoid it for the duration of the video.

That is one of my pet peeves. I can't stand it when amvs constantly switch from one background to a totally different one, still asuming that they are still in the same place. Try to make it as discrete you can.
