K. R. L. Productions & SWD to team up...

Post by Lady Shinsei » Tue May 04, 2004 1:32 pm

I'm happily announcing that my little group, K. R. L. Productions, and the awesome talent behind Seattlewebdesign.org, shall be joining forces to create an AMV masterpiece for next year's SakuraCon.

As of the moment, the only cool idea we have is to make an AMV using great scenes from FLCL (haven't decided what the music should be, but since I'm to be a part of this thing, I should have a say in what to use.....).

Other anime that we have in mind to use, would be the following:

Witch Hunter Robin
Inu-Yasha
Gundam Seed
Cowboy Bebop
Wolf's Rain
.Hack//Sign (actually thought of using that with one of the Matrix trailers)

Basically, it'd be helpful if anyone could come up with great songs to use with these anime, and I'll pass them along to my teammates.....

What's the mood that you're going for. Do you have a theme figured out yet?

you probably haven't heard of them, but 86 (the band) has a song entitled What You Whistle When You Walk Home After You've Thrown Up in Front of Your Friends, which I think could work with FLCL. I was going to do it myself, but now I don't think I could stand to edit it, plus I don't have all of FLCL. You can find out how to order their two CDs (the song is on the first one, True Life Songs and Pictures), or even download the mp3's from their website, http://www.86theband.com/

I picture using the throwing up scenes, along with the whistling, etc., buit that's just me.

LOL.....

That song reminds me of an old one I heard back in the 80s.....hilarious.

I'll give the idea along to my partner, Roland, and see what he thinks.

I was thinking that whatever anime we end up using, that it should be something no one has used yet or rarely used. Maybe we'll do something cool with Witch Hunter Robin, since I haven't seen anyone use that at all.....

If you want something dramatic and action-like at the same time, you want Hans Zimmer. His soundtracks are damn good.
