You'd get much better quality if you just asked if anyone with the dvds would like to go in on a collaborative effort and donate some footage to your cause. A few high quality clips will be a *lot* better than any 3rd generation downloaded footage (multiple compressions are also nasty to edit with).

That's what I was going to say, but it sounds like he has at least one of the ovas - and if he's wanting specific episodes from the series, it would be easier to get someone else to work with him on it. People do coolaborative efforts all the time - RK does have a lot of dvds besides the ovas.

Or he could do what someone else did recently - ask if anyone wants to go in on buying the dvds together (insane idea, but if people do it, I guess it's legitimate).
