Why? So you can retaliate?Dalto_123 wrote:I think they should add some stuff I mean Its geting bad to the point every time I log on I have an insult there they should put the name of the person of the person who said that.

*deep breath* Here goes...
Did you know that five is supposed to the average number score for opinions? Therefore, a video with sixes or sevens should be worth watching, no? However, actually download one of these videos and you realize how below average most of them are. Similarly, download several videos with all tens and you realize how average many of them are. Why is this?
Consider the following: when a person leaves an opinion, one does so knowing that the creator could retaliate if one does not provide all positive comments. There are a number of easily offended people like that on this site, and it is difficult to tell which ones will react this way. Obviously, you don't WANT this reaction. Being bitched out for sharing an opinion the creator wanted is terrible for anyone to have to deal with.
How does one prevent this? It's simple, really. One inflates the scores to seem like he or she really enjoyed the video, and one adds in positive comments mixed in with lesser versions of the negative comments he or she wanted to make. By doing this, one sets the creator off-guard and prevents this nasty reply.
So where do quick comments fit in? Basically, quick comments are that average five score that people strayed away from. Because they are anonymous, people are finally becoming more honest with their thoughts again. They are no longer concerned about being reamed out for making negative comments. This truly is a good thing.
Believe me, if names were added to quick comments, then they would turn out to be nothing more than short opinions again - meaning, the words would be inflated to avoid hurting the creator's ego. This isn't something you want. Try to keep in mind that the comments you get now are honest. Things are being said with quick comments that would never be said in an opinion. With a name, that honesty would fade.
There are only a few five-average people left on this site. They are the ones who continue to be honest - and you know what? They also leave some of the best opinions. Now, with quick comments, we can all do that.
In short, don't complain. The system is fine the way it is, and, in some ways, even more useful than those inflated opinions we all enjoy getting.

That is feedback. It just happens to be of the negative sort. If people are insulting your videos, then maybe you need to make better videos. And before you get all uppity on me, I haven't watched any of them, so I'm not attacking you personally. I'm just making a general statement.
What I said still stands. Insulting or not, they're honest comments.

Are you reading what he says? They are not speaking badly of his videos. People are merely using the form to leave insults towards him as a person.
In my opinion.. just ignore it. If people want to say things like that then who cares? You are the only one who sees it, so just don't let it bother you.

First of all this is not in the right section, If you want to make a change you have to post in Site Feedback (Belive me, it works. That's how we got quick comments in the first place as well as many other features of this site.)
Secondly, in the words of a wise man: Imaturity + Audience + Anonymity + Jackass.
What we really need is a delete command so the creator can simply get rid of them like junkmail.
In the meantime I will go on leaving, nice, helpfull and well thought out QCs, and laugh at all the halarity that gets posted on the forum.
