direct vs indirect

Post by beau kang » Sun Sep 25, 2005 12:23 am

I was just wondering what was the different between direct downloading and indirect downloading. The reason why I ask is because I just made my first amv and have seen it in the search engine

but....

...it says NO for a download. I am just hoping that I can still get my video viewed soon. I've spent a long time on it and wat people to enjoy it as much as I do.

A direct link points directly to the video file (hosted on some other site).

An indirect link points to a page (again, on some other site) that will eventually lead you to the video file.

A local link, of course, means that the video is hosted here.

And I don't see why you're worried about it; your video is perfectly downloadable.

Really? Because I go to check on it and I don't have any option to download. Is it just because it's my own video?

You have two video profiles, both which seem to be for the exact same video. One is downloadable the other is not. I'd suggest requesting a deletion on the first, non-downloadable, video profile.

I already have. The request is still pending right now. I guess that it could be that one that I'm looking at...
