Is your file maybe over 100MiB?

Ah, derobert. Just the man I was going to attack - I mean, ask help from.
Nope. Filesize is good. 29.0 MB, and the value of MiBs and MBs is so close that I doubt that'd account for anything.
I guess the next step is what tryhil suggested. He said you should monitor my upload. How would that work? We just agree on when I'm going to do it and then you're online when it happens?
Either way, your further help would be very much appreciated. I just want to know what's wrong already...
Thanks.

Ok... reading your log more closesly. First off, I can't fine anything about a user mustotecuv (Ok, back in March, but thats a long time ago). Back in March, that user uploaded a Final_Fantasy_VIII-X_-_Aurora_Vampira_-_Moulin_Rouge_-_Ending_Credits_Score.WMV.
Actually, you have several attempts at logging in in that log. Under the usernames mustotecuv, spegiuubow, and dadrospibr.
Check your FTP upload status page. Is dadrospibr the right username? The file is there, but its quite possible that your FTP client is saving old usernames, and that you've uploaded the video under the wrong username.

That was one of my first few videos that I uploaded. Also, I don't know if this matters or not, but whenever I went to upload mustotecuv was always what came up automatically in the username box. I just deleted it and replaced the info with the correct username and password. It's worked every time before, so I'm not sure why that would choose to act up now, if it is.derobert wrote:Ok... reading your log more closesly. I assume that going to Properties works for this. In there, it does say the correct username.Check your FTP upload status page. Is dadrospibr the right username? There is one thing that I thought I might bring up. Again, I'm not sure of the relevance of this, but...in the following part of Moonslayer's guide, 37 doesn't happen (obviously), but neither does 24. That one I don't understand. My video begins uploading, regardless, but shouldn't I be getting that box requesting the username and password to come up? Unless the guide is out of date...
Any of that help you? I hope so.21. Click "request upload permission"
22. Write down the info
23. Go to the ftp address you were given
24. Type in the username and password you were given and click login
25. Drag your video into the ftp folder
26. Your file will start uploading
27. When it's done close the ftp window
28. Go back to amvorg and fill in your login info, then click login
29. Click "confirm video"
30. Click on the blue video link
31. Click save
32. Click save again
33. Your video will start downloading
34. Now that you can see it works, press cancel
35. Check the circle next to the video link
36. Click confirm video
37. Your video is now uploaded

Triple posting here, but I just wanted to mention that I got 24 in Moon's guide to work. His guide makes it out like the login screen comes up automatically, but I had to manually go under File for it.
Of course, there was still no video available for download when I went to check it, so I'm at square one yet.

OK... Look at the log. Make sure that its logging in with the correct username. (Look for the lines starting with USER <username>). Confirm that is the same username that the upload status page says.
If it isn't, the problem is the FTP client is logging in with the wrong username.... Not sure what to do about that, as I've never used your FTP client.
If it is the right username, we'll figure out what went wrong on the server...

Me Too!
I am also having these problems! I know I can upload videos cause I uploaded one a few days before I went to upload another! So I know it is possible with the connection I have and the way I was doing it! I think that there is something wrong with the confirm page!!!! Or something! Let me pose this question:
Has ANYONE been able to upload thier videos? If so what did you do exactly! Cause it seems like there are a few that can't and no one has said that they can!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I can upload videos just fine. I use the process described on the upload page. It has worked ever since we have had upload capabilities, and I expect it to work well into the future.JingerSpice2000 wrote:I am also having these problems! Re: Me Too!
She's not entirely in the wrong either, though. Just because she's a bit more..."enthusiastic" than I am, doesn't make her point any less valid. I'm having these problems. I'm just going to more lengths to solve them than she is. I'd like a super cure-all solution, but that isn't happening. I'd also like to be more technologically competent, so I can understand more of what is being asked of me in this troubleshooting, but I'm not getting that either. I'm working with the knowledge I have, making my best estimate on what I don't know, and trying to work with others. That's my method. Jinger's happens to be "loud" typing. It's not a sin. It's just the only way she knows how to get help.trythil wrote:Yes, I can upload videos just fine. I use the process described on the upload page. Now that I'm finished calmly ranting, I'm going to go back to helping a poor fellow on a different forum.
