It seems to be on the Site To Do list.

Exactly. The sheer processing power, server time to do calculations, etc. would certainly not make it worthwhile.
Er, averages aren't that hard to calculate on large datasets.
It's not a simple average though. Listing thousands of creators on one site for each video, per member is literally a million or more pages and further, each would have to be calculated either on the fly or at a certain designated time (either every day/hour/whatever).

My understanding is that doing that would take a pretty long amount of time given the dataset present. Even with as many processors as we have for the server, it's still a lot of calculations *per* member, *per* video. Given I'm not sure the infrastructure of the site, but it seems like a little too much work for the amount you get back.

...and ultimately, it's still a waste of resources (imo) when we could use that power and space on something more useful like making the site run faster.

Well, most of the cycles used would probably be on Kero and Nago, both of which are fairly overpowered for FTP servers.

I've no idea what I'd do with the list of the 19477 people who have downloaded IWIWAL.

Ummm, it'd be a fairly simple select statement, so processing time isn't really a concern.

Also, if we did it, to address Arigatomina's comment, we'd definitely have to only show the member's usernames when there are, say, 10+ downloads.

Even across a theoretical range of 10's of thousands of people to calculate on? Wow! I stand corrected

Considering that certain select statements can kill Yuri, uh....

I'd recoment printing it out and maybe walpapering a room with it. fF you ever feel down for any reason, you can go in there and look at the close to 15 thousand people that have seen your work.

On the other hand, i can see where that could make you very paranoid, given your walls would now list all the possible creepy stalker suspects you could ever imagine.

Yeah, this seems like it would be kind of wierd to know exactly who downloaded your video. I don't see any use for it that wouldn't be sketchy or annoying. And if I saw an editor I really respected on the list it would be hard to refrain from asking what they thought... And then doing a little elitisim dance.

I like Ari's idea of showing who put you on their favorites though.

I wonder what video has the most downloads... Anyone know?
