I've been working on music videos for three years now, but it's the first time I've actually created one, using Ian Van Dahl's "Castles in the sky" along with images from the Myazaki film.

There's just a little something I wanted to ask :
I haven't been using Ian Van Dahl's version, but a personal version I created on keyboards, using the electro remix from Wise Publications, so does it still count as an AMV, or is it something else ?

What is an AMV, exactly, by the way ?

As I said, I've been creating several others music videos I'd be eager to share and exchange about too, but I've no idea where I could do that.

It counts, as you can create/use your music.

Allowed footage here at the org must have been produced from Japan. So Miyazaki films for example, are definitely allowed footage here, meanwhile a cartoon like say, Looney Tunes are not allowed here.

I'm working on an export of the videofile. I'll put a link here via yousendit.
Trouble is, I don't have that much time to keep maintaining the link (it dies after 25 downloads or a week), so If you could pass on the file it would be great!

If you want to announce videos, you can post your announcement at theAMV Announcements Forum Section.

Also, www.animemusicvideos.org has a local server, and lets you upload your AMVs for free. If you have bandwidth/storage limits, you can always upload onto the server here. : )
