hey is there a way to see how your votes for your banners are doing and is it suppose to take days.......or am i doing something wrong

You won't know the results until you receive 91 votes for your banner.

Actually, it's 151 votes until you know your result.

There are several steps a banner goes through:
1) Admin approval (i.e., derobert checks to make sure the banner follows the rules --- stuff like having a readable logo and AnimeMusicVideos.org on it, being spelled right, etc.)
2) Assuming it gets admin approval, it then goes into the vote queue. This the longest wait.
2a) Mod-unapproval (mods tell derobert to try again, because he missed a silly spelling error).
3) Voting. Once a banner receives 151 votes, if 91 or more are "yes" it is declared a winner. This phase is also relatively quick.
